**ATTENTION** You must watch the ENTIRE video to understand why it was made before posting comments or rating the video! The number of misinformed/insolent comments by viewers has gotten out of control. electronicsNmore is a channel that has helped millions of people, and EXPOSES KZbin "Free Energy" scams, unlike many other channels on KZbin that profit off scam videos. VIDEO EXPLANATION: The purpose of making the video the way I did, was to duplicate how a typical KZbin "Free Energy" scammer would spend time convincing viewers that what they're seeing is real. I accomplished that using a popular kid's toy, but I also did what very few YT channels do, and that was to show how it was done in order to teach them a valuable lesson regarding "Free Energy" scams on KZbin. If you notice the video title, the words are in quotes(which indicates the subject matter is in doubt) and there's also a "?" at the end of the video title. Thanks for watching! You'll greatly enjoy my "Free Energy" Scam exposing video playlist below, I have video there that are better than this video. kzbin.info/aero/PLQ6IOhUBblU2GIBgWOYhrw0TyYGkyEAWE

I always wished to do something "free energy" with magnets. Then I saw a video with metal in an electromagnetic coil. It floated, it spun, and then it melted because the magnetic energy was not being converted into just kinetic energy. The bleedoff of energy was released as heat, and so it went from a floating nugget of metal, to a not so floating dripping string of molten metal. Thermodynamics really do ruin generators yo.
@kennethfischer30672 жыл бұрын
@@benoitbrown9400 Actually, that's also not quite right. The real reason this doesn't work is because the polarity of the magnets never changes, so the spinner would never be able to complete a full rotation. Real motors/generators use a combination of a stator and an alternating current/split commutator to swap the polarity of the electromagnetic field, allowing the stator (spinner in this case) to complete a full rotation.
@anthonyplacek97032 жыл бұрын
@@benoitbrown9400 its not floating in a vacuum. a fidget spinner has the central point that doesn't move while you spin it, it may have good bearings to give it a lot of smooth motion, but its a contact point, contact point means friction, air drag, little as it is, is also a contact point, its losing energy.

Now I'm curious what would really happen if you arrange magnets (not the electric kind) in an order that would theoretically make a low friction wheel like this spin.
@raptorwhite6468 Жыл бұрын
For this to work, setting it like that would have to be possible. But it isn't
@humourlessjester3584 Жыл бұрын
@raptorwhite6468 I'm not saying it will work... I'm wondering what it would do. Would it peeter out after nudging it a bit, would it not have enough force to nudge it at all, would the two magnets pull against each other no matter the orientation... Don't shut down curiosity just because there are rules in place saying it doesn't work because you will learn something if you do it and fail rather than not learning anything if you don't do anything at all. Sometimes, we judge the action too much on its success or failure rather than just letting it happen and seeing the results regardless of success or failure.
@raptorwhite6468 Жыл бұрын
@@humourlessjester3584 This is the "what will laws of physics do if we completely break them" kind of question, so it's hard to answer.
@humourlessjester3584 Жыл бұрын
@raptorwhite6468 I'm not saying to break them. I don't think you're truly understanding what we're trying to achieve here. It won't be breaking laws of physics if we just put magnets in a particular formation and see what happens. Law of physics won't slap my wrists if I try to put two pre charged magnets together in a particular shape that, let's say, would be a similar orientation if you were to use electric magnets to make a motor. We just want to see what happens, it is not a what-if fictional scenario we're trying to do here. Maybe it won't go, that's fine that is an observable result, maybe it would spin for a little bit but then fizzle out, that is also an observable result. What is so impossible with just putting magnets in a certain shape, not expecting perpetual motion, but just observing the results? My hypothesis is that it spins for a bit but loses momentum as it loses charge, but if we have that attitude of stopping ourselves because it won't work, we'll never find out! Because discovery comes from a place of idiocy and ignorance, not from intelligence, so if you truly want to think like a scientist or innovator for a second shut down your brain and have an exercise of idiocy and curiosity to actually question these age old truths rather than just never questioning them. You may come across things already discovered or fail at what you're trying to achieve but that doesn't matter, what matters is that you learned something new by applying yourself to what you are curious about.
@D3monEisen Жыл бұрын
it can work
@mahtoosacks7 жыл бұрын
I was going to comment, "Short answer: NO to your clickbait question". Glad I watched the rest. A main problem with these magnet motors is, let's say you actually break the laws of thermodynamics, and get the thing to spin indefinitely, it would have such minimal torque it would be useless.
@angelo59467 жыл бұрын
DJ Matusiak can you explain it a little bit more because the only thing I know is that contradict to this is friction and you can't take something from nothing
@Predated27 жыл бұрын
Well, that and even permanent magnets arent permanent. Even if such a motor worked good enough to get energy from it, it's not going to be enough since it costs more energy to make a permanent magnet than to get energy out of it. Magnets can help us lower costs though. Like, magnettrains cost relatively little, long term and resourceful seen, compared to non-magnettrains.

Could you please explain why this doesn’t work? I don’t read much but my logic tells me this should work as long as the magnetic push is equal to the magnetic pull leading to constant rotation? maybe there’s a variable i’m not accounting for (friction / gravity), which might be the reason the battery + coil would be needed to add the extra push?
@PFnove3 жыл бұрын

@KarenLopez-y8q2 жыл бұрын

@baptisteschmitte67752 жыл бұрын
@@TBjunk25 to be extremely simple. you can't create energy but only convert it. if you use magnets to force an object to turn the object will stop. why? because there's equilibrium points (positions where it requires more energy than it produce to move because there's variation of the magnetic field) so a simple solution is to use a magnet all arround the object at the middle. it won't work either it's like trying to force a car to move on a flat area without motor. so the last solution is to use a magnets with a polarity that can be inverted... also called electro magnet... and this system is called an electric motor that "generate" less energy than the energy used by the magnets. so with magnets it's not possible. now i'll explain why perpetual motion is impossible or at least to harvest energy. when an object move it will stop but why? because he lost energy but the question is how (because if you find a way to remove every loss perpetual motion is technically possible) so if you search a bit you'll find that offenly the energy turn into heat (that the loss) but why? the answer is simple: friction (there's other way but i'll talk about them later) for exemple the toy in the video. to make it turn you have to give him some energy but it doesn't float so you have to handle it. but if you try to make something turn while you hold it it stop. why? because due to friction between the object and your skin it stop (and you'll feel heat if there's enough friction) so we can create a system that allows you to hold it without stop it instantly. on the toy they used a system (idk the english name sorry) that connect both object with small metallic sphere but there still is friction with that because it only decrease it. but there's another friction: air resistance. it's not much but it also create friction. so you'll say to use it in a vacuum chamber but... there's gravity that create a loss. you'll say that we can send it in space but... 1 in space there's gravity so it doesn't change anything and 2 how do you transfer electricity? and even if you could the electricity production will convert the energy into electricity (and it's not perfect btw. there's also loss here) so it will also stop amd when you understand that it's impossible to create energy but only to convert it you'll say that we can just convert the energy back into electricity but... it's not possible. to convert an energy into another one you have to give it energy and at the end it will require more energy than there's in the universe to have electricity.
