Must it be 1litres ma'am. I divided my youghumet and all other ingredients but Mine didnt form.

I am sorry to hear that. It is best you follow the recipe exactly because you may not put enough of the yogurmet culture and you may not have enough milk for the bacteria to feed on Because if the bacteria isn't enough in the milk they would be too small to do the work that is converting the milk to yogurt and if they are too many they won't have enough milk to eat. Secondly the temperature of the milk may not have been at the optimum temperature. In case of next time your yogurt didn't form boil some water pour it in a bowl and place the bowl of the milk and culture inside and close it so that it can provide the optimum temperature leave it for 8 hours before checking again to see the yogurt has formed. Wash and rinse all the equipments you want to use in hot water to kill other kinds of bacteria so that you will have only the bacteria to form the yogurt if other kinds of bacteria are present they would kill the yogurt forming bacteria.
