These shots are so good. For me the real skill with product videos is having the ideas. Executing them can of course also be extremely difficult, but you can't execute an idea you haven't had. People such as yourself and schiffer are insane when it comes to cool ideas - I doubt I'd ever have thought of "syringing" some paint and releasing it in water for example.
@AustenPaul
@AustenPaul 3 жыл бұрын
The ideas come from working through the video and taking inspiration from your favorite things in life. I break things down to the smallest level the reverse engineer it

The hard work and obstacles along the way I think are the necessary steps to move the human soul beyond its limits, and you Austin are living proof, as you said we are only human beings after all, and only those who live it can understand the pressure, but eventually every effort will be paid off, so it is definitely worth it! 💪

Dude. Thank you so much for your heartfelt message. You hit the nail on the head at the exact thing I’m running into this week. Huge client (for me) wants product videos and I’ve spent so much time filming and trying to figure out and keep running into a mental roadblock. Lots of trial and error. Lots of self doubt. And lots of retrying and powering through. Either way, great message and tutorial.

Really encouraging video for sure Austen ! I started filmmaking about a year an half ago , and I now think that gears matter cause when I look at my work , shooting with a sony a6500 & only one 150W light and an F4 lens .... I do not get any crisp images , can't push ISO , can't get more light , can't get macro shots.. so that is discouraging ! for a long time I though gear didn't matter much but I guess when it come to product videography ( as you can't relied on story so much ) I think I should pay more attention on my gear and spend the money on it ! I know I didn't talk about ideas , creativity and inspiration but frustration come from every corner of the room ( just made that up ) . Don't change anything Austen. Peace
@AustenPaul
