i have the dyson airwrap, if youre just after the bouncy curls, i suggest buying heat curlers. I get the same result with less time and effort with the heat curlers. I still go back to heat curlers when i dont have time to get ready, i just put the curlers, let it set while i do my makeup then remove the curlers after that, 10 mins at most, im done! there are a lot in amazon for 20 USD different sizes in one set!

We have similar type of hair and I do just the same! I usually do the beach waves and I divide it in two parts, twist it like a sausage (lol) and pin it every night so the hairstyle lasts. I also found a good mousse to use. In Italy it's the Schwarzkopf Palette Modella Ricci n. 02 of intensity, that's really not that crunchy and so light but it holds the curl pretty well!

Thanks so much for the video! I have the exact same problem with the frizz on top of my head. I have kept changing shampoos thinking that’s the issue. I have brought bought tons of products and they still don’t work against the frizz. I thought it was because it’s summertime. So I am definitely going to try the product and try your advice. as far as pin curls I’ve been using pin curls for my life so I’m glad to see someone else is also using it. I just had a question on the heat setting for when you started. I saw that you mention the heat setting for when you use the smoothing attachment and for the actual curling attachment but I didn’t hear what heat setting you had when you started on the drying part of your hair.

I have the new 2022 long barrel that you don’t switch barrels out for direction and the .8 barrel. My hair looks healthier, shinier, and the frizzies never come back for days. Much better than any curling iron. Also much easier to curl the hair in back. Expensive, yes, but to me worth it. There’s nothing like it for my fine frizzy hair. Love the smoothing effect.

@EbonyJane3 жыл бұрын
Let me know how you get on! It takes me about 40 mins maybe 50 but thats all the time it takes until I next wash it. My hair honestly would not hold a curl at all every time it would fall out after 30 mins and look so bad - The biggest tips from this is if possible wash your hair in the evening and style it before bed because its the pinning of the curls and sleeping in them which makes a huge difference and then of course add a little hairspray in the morning :) I pin my curls every night and they last me 5 days + when I do this. Good luck! I hope it helps! ♡

You should hold the barrel in untill its fully dry and at that point you do the cool shot. When you relaese the barrel before the Hair is fully dry, the curls do NOT last. Fully dry is key

I think what you basically did was pin curls. Many people who want the vintage/Mariyln Monroe look does this. It does not require Dyson wrap. The difference between your way the the traditional pin curl way is how your pin curls are looser and in bigger sections. Since you sleep with pin curls, I suggest wrapping your hair with silk scarf to prevent frizz. Lovely look, by the way.

@EbonyJane2 жыл бұрын
Hey! If I pin the curls before I sleep each night I don’t need to retouch the curls however, if I don’t pin them they fall out a lot quicker and you might have to redo (honestly it really varies depending on your hair - if you have anywhere near you which does demos I highly recommend getting them to curl your hair and then you can see roughly how your hair will respond) xxxx

So basically, you do the pin curl method ☺️ it is very effective indeed, (with the improvement of better tools of course 🤍) love this! because it does the least amount of heat damage to the hair. Foam rollers are also a good option for sleeping on your curls, and a scarf to hold your pin curls will help with flyaways 😊 it is my technique. I’m actually looking into getting the Dyson because I have A LOT of thick curly hair and pin curls alone just won’t dry during the winter, and I don’t particularly like staying under a dryer for 3hrs 😅

But it’s not good if you want to wash your hair and go out that night or day , as you can sleep in lots of roller type hair accessories, but not everyone wants to go to bed every time you wash and dry your hair having to pin it up ! I doubt my husband would think this is a good look , and I certainly don’t think it’s what you should have to do ? I totally know what you mean I used to do this! However, I will say the curls with the dyson barrel are different they have much more volume to them and it looks more like a blow out where as if I just pin my curls as you mentioned they go quite flat ❤️❤️

Love your video! But girls be honest... Is it just me or are you also a little frustrated that you buy an airwrap for a lot of money and then spend almost twice the time as you would with a curling iron just to have to clip every curl on your head because otherwise it wouldn't even stick?!
@roseabida6762 жыл бұрын
You’ve “cracked the code” by cutting and dying the hell out of your hair. Dying them damages the hair thus making it more porous so that it doesn’t restore its natural structure after the styling. Cutting the length and layering made it lighter which also aids in maintaining the curl because otherwise the weight of long thick natural straight hair was dragging the curls down. And that amasses to ~80% of your success compared to the original video you did a year ago using Dyson on your natural long straight hair. All your tips only factor in the ~15-20% of the improvement and only work given the hair structure is damaged. On healthy straight long thick black hair this styling with all your tips won’t even last 3 hours. With windy and wet weather - won’t last an hour. Dyson, like any other styler, works best for short, damaged, blond hair. (blond hair is softer and more malleable to styling due to individual hair strands being thin)
@EbonyJane2 жыл бұрын

I totally understand and agree- because it’s summer I have hardly curled my hair once because I am touching it so much so it is just not worth it - I think the dyson only fits a small group of people you have to have a certain hair type (not even sure what that is haha) but if you don’t have it it’s a waste of money 👎🏻 I just try to figure out ways to use it because it cost me so much I do like the straightening attachment ❤️❤️
