Love the channel. I think the little 60k btu warming trend burner will be perfect on a retaining wall I am going to build this spring with 8” block and culture stone facia.

What is the expected result of drilling out larger holes in a standard propane burner ?

Less holes but larger holes = higher flames SB H
@1TUFZUK2 жыл бұрын
Probably not much different than with the smaller holes, maybe even smaller flame height because with a larger hole, you lose even more pressure.

That was propane the jets have air holes drill in it.... you can make the same design whit gas pipe for natural gas or propane save your money.

All burners have holes drilled in them....it's the constriction and air mixture that causes the high flame. You can't get that buy just buying pipe and drilling holes...

I did this diy but did not get the large yellow flame, instead I got a short blue flame about an 1". much like you would expect for cooking on a gas burner. I used 12 brass jets with black 1/2" pipe. Regulator at the propane tank and shut off valve. Is there another low pressure valve control or a different kind of jet for fire pits?

@tobiassinclair46464 жыл бұрын
@@jacobhuffman3257 u Yes, smallest bit at home depot 3/64 I think, drill out thé orifice of each jet. Works Perfect. Regulate by shut off valve.
@jacobhuffman32574 жыл бұрын
@@tobiassinclair4646 see I'm using natural gas, used brass 1/2 pipe with brass jets and I get long blue flames with valve only open part way. Open to much and it blows out.
@tobiassinclair46464 жыл бұрын
@@jacobhuffman3257 i use propane and had the same result because the air to gas ratio was off. Drill the orifice the smallest bit you can larger on one jet and see if you get the large yellow flame.
