Yes, I was under the same thought and wasn't interested in an apartment.2013- I was paying rent of 12k and calculated rent of 56+ lacs which I suppose to pay for the next 20 years with an increase of 5% for every 11 months as per the rent agreement.Realizing that I bought the flat by investing 45 lacs(35 lacs loan) in 2014 at Bengaluru and ran behind loan with the part payment along with EMI and cleared it in 9 years. Overall interest paid was 18 lacs additional.Now I am the owner of the house and the current rent going on in our apartment is 30k. I suggest buying a house if it's your first one with the below data as per my experience. Average each year rent for 9 years - 2 lacs Total rent - 9*2 = 18 lacs Tax saved for nine years - 4 lacs Grand Total - 22 lacs

ಸಿಕ್ಕಾಪಟ್ಟೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆ ತಂತ್ರ.. ಆದರೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಕೂಡ ಇದೆ. Long term Capital gain tax ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಇದೆ. ಅದನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟದೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ಸರಿ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಫಂಡ್ 12% ಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಗಳಿಸಿದರೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಸಹಾಯ ಆಗುತ್ತೆ..
