I would recommend setting a story in stone first before designing a character, because what is a character without a clear cut story? Plus the story could help flesh out the design better as opposed to something that was put together before the story was made.

You definetly need a rough sketches and a LOT of alternative design. For example: Do i want those bandage as a hand wrap or mouth mask? Do i want a lightning necklace or lightning shaped scar? Do i want my oc color purple or red tinted purple? Disney characters like Anna (From Frozen) has OVER 60+ alternative until the team decided the design for the final product. Design is also based on a story, making an OC has a REAL depth. Good video, otherwise.

You just create a segment as a stickfigure, then make a movieclip, in the movie clip you'll make a stickman with only the segment you made by joining many segments to each other to have a stickman

What should you do: -Make the stickfigure from the base. -Save it with a different name from the base. And now you have the base and another stickfigure made from that base.
