Ok I figured it out from another video... 1. At top of profile tap three lines in upper right 2. Tap settings and privacy 3. Tap privacy 4. Tap favorite sounds 5. Turn on 6. Make your new sound you created one of your favorites and then make a video using it and others will be able to use it 🎉

Unfortunately, TikTok doesn't allow you to completely prevent others from using your sound, but you can keep it more personal by not sharing it publicly or setting it to private.
