I love the fact that you suggest doing this as a brush. I used another tutorial that suggested creating it in Illustrator, but for some reason I was still finding edges that weren't smooth even when scaling it down. This produces beautiful results! Thank you.

Great tutorial. I appreciate that you don’t rush the lesson and you speak clearly and plainly. Unfortunately for me I’m working on an iPad Pro and my menu and tabs do not look anything like this and is very limited. Do you have a tutorial specifically for iPad Pro?

Thanks for the quick and informative tutorial! One tip that might be helpful to someone is that Photoshop will not allow you to convert text to shape if it has a Faux Bold style for some reason. If the font you select has that style, it is turned on by default in the Character Palette. Reset the characters to "Standard Ligatures" and you are good to go for the conversion.

Wonderful video! I just have one question, is there a way of saving the logo in Lightroom at all? So when you export photos the logo can just be uploaded in bulk amount of photos?

Yes, it is. From Photoshop you can export the logo in PNG or JPG format to your computer. And after go to Lightroom - Edit - Edit Watermarks, and the just select the file from your computer. That should do it. After that just twitch the settings for it.

If the starting image is too big, it won't work. Resize the image down and it should be fine.

The most likely explatation is that the image you are trying to define as a brush is over 2500 x 2500 pixels. 2500 pixels square is the maximum size for a brush in photoshop. If you make it 2500 x2500 pixels or less, you should be able to select the Define Preset Option in the Edit Menu

Great video and I learned so much. Worked on a new logo and made it into a brush (had never done that). The only problem I had was when I clicked on the new layer with the brush logo, it wouldn't "release" I guess you could say. Something I'm missing so will try and figure it out. Hi Sue If you want the brush shape to go away you have to select a different tool or different brush. Hope that helps

great help! but how do i take this method and apply watermark or my logo onto a photo or multiple photos in lightroom? Do I have to use photoshop for this process? Also when i create the new layer with the brush tool, I have to click multiple times before the text begins to darken and come through. what settings do i need to adjust to make the it appear white with 100% opacity with one click?

Hello Matt, I love your teaching style, thank you. I’ve been making my custom signature brush in photoshop for years now. I use the exact method you describe. I use photoshop 2023 on both a windows desktop and laptop. Lately my signature brush has been disappearing. When I go into photoshop the next time it’s nowhere to be found. Then I need to make another one. Extremely frustrating. I’ve searched the internet for hours looking for a resolution and found nothing. Any ideas why this might happen? Thank you
