When I saw your beardwork for the first time a few months ago it was already the most Space Wolve I've ever seen. When you started to blend kitbashing into the modelling I stood corrected. Now you are further improving with different techniques... I am truly amazed by how your work is still growing in skill and seeing a beardless Marine in the video makes me already wonder how he is going to turn out. Just Thank you.

This looks a lot more convenient than the method I'm using right now (drilling tiny holes for microbeads - looks good, but takes forever). I'll give this a shot, as an Ork collector I have a lot of use for rivets.

I cracked open an old water filter, it's full of charcoal and these little silica beads of various sizes. Few mins of sorting them with tweezers and youll have a ton of 0.5mm to 1mm rivets. Apply them as this excellent tutorial indicates.

Little tip for the drill bit, if you don't mind getting an extra bit, or it just having some gunk on it, you can use some electrical tape to make it a little more comfortable and easier to grip

A good idea and a great result! To avoid stabbing yourself and to help keep a good grip on the bit, maybe putting your small drill bit into the pin vise backwards could be the way to go? I've done similar to that for green stuff texturing but I don't see why it would't work for punching soft metals? 🤔
@jarlvalbjorn
@jarlvalbjorn 2 жыл бұрын
great idea - I recently made little greenstuff handles for all my punch sizes. Works really good as you can write the size of the punch on the side of the handle and it keeps my pin vice free.

@@jarlvalbjorn previously I had been using 1mm ball bearings and drilling into the model a bit and gluing the ball bearing it the hole. Unfortunately, if you mess up even a little bit you have to do repair work. At least with this method mistakes would be much easier to fix!

@@ShadowlessFist yeah! I haven't tried the ball bearing one, but there's a lot of room for forgiveness with this method. I've found I can pop them off with an xacto and start over if I'm not happy with the placement.
