I'm making a college project about luminous concrete, and the main idea is mix a product like this with the cement for sidewalks, vial signs, emergency exits, etc.

So glytrom really works looks awesome can you mix it with concrete while making pathways or just do like you did here and its safe to use too ID like to try it out one day.

I think mixing it in with concrete would be prohibitively expensive. What you can do is sprinkle glow in the dark aggregate (Glytrom makes it) on top when you are finishing the concrete. Then spray water to expose the GID aggregate. I don't think Glytrom bothered to seal the concrete after that.

can I use this product over a white concrete floor paint and then seal it with a clear sealer? This will be a high traffic area.

I would check with the manufacturer since this sort of coated pigment can be gritty. If the pigment particles aren't too large you could mix this with a clear sealer, preferably water based and apply it that way. Keep stirring the paint during the application. Perhaps add another coat of just clear sealer on top of that. ====> Remember, you want strontium aluminate doped with rare earth pigment where it is COATED with clear plastic because otherwise water destroys its ability to store and give off light.

It looks like Glytrom has a lot of potential but, sorry to say, its use in this particular project is not very impressive.

You can get safety paint if you want an opaque thicker application. That involves a white primer, then coated glow crystals and finally a sealer. If you really want to get fancy you can add glass beads to get retroreflection like on street signs at night. You aren't being fair to Glytrom. This phosphor pigment is expensive and it is shown applied to straight concrete which doesn't reflect light all that well. To get a really bright effect you might need to use 4 lbs./100 sq. ft. and that can get expensive at $250/lb. or $550/4 lbs.
