In the meantime, if you like this kind of chord progression, also check out Matt Johnson of Jamiroquai's channel (there are a couple of dif peep named "Matt Johnson"'). He's made some chord progression vids, neo-soul chords, etc, that work well for this style.

One important feature artists don't realize in Tyler's music, is that its detuned into a quartertone by 50 cents. Most of his music is defined by that much, so try and do that, because it will make it sound a little more unique.

Yeah that's true at least on Chromakopia, not sure on his other albums but given everything is in tune with itself I don't think it makes a massive difference overall. Worth experimenting with though!!
