Beside the usual studying with text books etc., I go for walks in italian cities and towns on Google Street Map, reading traffic signs, shop signs and so forth.

Verisssimo!

Manu your videos were the first that I started watching to learn Italian. Find watching a variety of videos and different teachers, the best way to get usually the same type of lesson but in slightly different ways. They all have great value. Grazie Manu and Tom

I just realized that you and me may be a lot alike. I'm currently learning Italiano(la mia lingua preferita) and Spanish. I have to say that Italiano sparked my interest in the other romance languages. After Italiano, I would like to learn Spanish, French, Portuguese, Romanian, Sicilian, Vulgar Latin, and catalan. Overall, great video!

Good to see you are still active with Italian on utube. I've been a subscriber for years but haven't had much time to take advantage of your lessons - but thats all changing now and I will be monitoring your video regularly. You do do a great job.

I am following you from years and I have to say that you sound like an italian native speaker, Tom. Congratulations. From years I have been adopting your piece of advices and I have to say that helps a lot reading, listening, speaking even alone. Sorrounding yourself by all the stuff in the foreign language you are studying helps to reach the goal. I hope to follow your speed fluency in english.

Your videos are incredible and your energy is awesome!! I've just started to learn italian and am always studying your videos! I have one question- I've been having conversations online in Italian to try refine my skills, How do Italians say "mood" ? I typed out "umore" and i was told even though this IS correct it isn't the modern way to say it- They replied this " Guarda utilizza mood " ? im confused haaha

Non rida! Ma io parlo Italiano ai miei cani. Penso di gli piace molto.Quando parlo italiano i cani iniziano a scodinzolare. Dico "Cani. Posso farle dei biscotti?" "Cani" Non abbaiate!" "Cani. Vi amo!" Anyone, please feel free to correct my errors. When I first started learning Italian, I was saying "Mangiamo cani" and I am very grateful to the person that corrected me. She said I was literally saying "Let's eat dogs" as in "lets eat some dogs"! LOL Grazie mille Tom! \

If you are a gamer, try Skyrim or Fallout 4 with the desired language. Both have good audio, are dialogue heavy and contain a lot of normal item names :) I just discovered Assassins Creed 2 for Italian, as it plays there.

I have Italian films, watch things on KZbin..go to Meet-Up..(the Italian speaking Meet-Up is not as gung ho around here as the French one..which I've been to,also) In St Louis, there are also some older folks who are Italian native speakers(They are older) I put Italian radio station on my phone and listen to Italian music. Even if you don't understand everything..still listen...and you will start to catch on. There is nothing so awful sounding as one who knows all the grammar, but has no pronunciation or cadence of the language. St Louis is very fortunate that through the month of April every year..A local University has Italian films (con sottotitoli) each weekend...gratis.

Penso che i tuoi video siano ottimi. Grazie.
