The big thing that will save you time is showing up to your classes and actually being mentally engaged. Make sure you understand everything everything that's being said and you're prepared for the lecture. If you leave lecture and still don't understand something ask a TA or go to study hall and figure it out before going home. Do no leave it until the weekend. A lot of people are passive in lecture and then wonder why they have to spend so much time studying.

I had a year super similar to yours while in CMA school! I went to school full time, 8am-4pm monday-friday(it was an accelerated course, we learned in 1 year what usually is 2). Got back into the town where I lived and worked around 5pm (school was an hour away) and would work until 10 pm 3 nights a week at a restuarant, and work day shift on Saturday and sunday. Plus homework, and house work. It was crazy having zero days off for 1 year! When I finished school and got my first job with weekends off I didn't know what to do with myself lol! Not to mention I planned a wedding and got married during that year too! It was definitely worth it though! :) and I'm glad it's over, I sure love my normal 9-5 and weekends off! Woohoo!!

You go girl! I’m working toward my next college degree after my first one wasn’t helpful. I also work at a preschool, but thankfully part-time 5days a week. 2 days a week I go straight from school until 9 and then 2 other days I have time to go to the gym and let my dog out after work before I head to school until 9. I get up 2-3 hours early before I go to work so I can walk my dog, clean, do preschool stuff and/or homework and I spend most of my weekends studying but make sure to take some rest time. It gets overwhelming and your video was a good reminder before going into the next semester. A planner is definitely a lifesaver.

I feel so bad that I am not able to contribute money but It just seems impossible to me because as soon as I get out of school I have to rush home to pick my son up from daycare. I actually think work is helpful in overcoming social anxiety, at least in the service jobs I've done. It gives you kind of a controlled environment to interact\open up to people and build confidence because you have to do it and you know your place and your role in this dynamic. I felt a lot more anti social in the periods when I wasn't working.

At one point I said to myself that I would be a neonatal nurse practitioner, which is my 2nd career option and its 7 years to become one. I just love You! I was hesitant about school but I'm going to get through it. I'm prepared to sacrifice things just to get my degree in nursing. Thank you for sharing

I absolutely love this video. You're such an inspiration. I had the same exact planner as you!! lol. And once I did buy a planner that had a different quote every week. I loved it. Also, you and I have the same study techniques. I can't wait to graduate next year and I hope I can feel as acomplished as you do some day.

I started veterinary school and I quit on the 3rd year because of depression . Now my father refuses to fund my education because it will be a waste of money and calls me a disappointment . I'm determined to study for an I.T specialist and I tought this was gonna help . I have a Computer engineering degree from the European Union because I was doing alot of that on the side and I tought it would be useful in the future . Although winning that , he still refuses to .

I'm in love with your videos! I am moving out of my parents house next month for my last year of college, and I already have 2 jobs. I'll have 2 online classes, but with my campus classes and work I've been scared about it will all pan out but all of your advice makes me feel like it's possible :) Thanks for sharing all your experiences!
