Thank you for sharing!💜I am still experiencing slippage in my front microlocs after a whole 12 months (and one week, one year on 3/14) of having my microlocs. I'm still braiding and banding when I shampoo and I'm still doing two flat braids when I run. ✌🏾💜

😮Hello Queen....I seek your wisdom and help. I am 6 months locked, I dont wash my hair until my re-tie every four or five weeks no later. I mist my hair with distilled water mixed with oil every two days as needed because I live by the ocean. Week three is when I see new growth that turns into slippage just days later. At this time I keep my hair in protective styles until the next wash because I don't want to manipulate the hair at my roots. Also during this third and fourth week I've only added a little light oil to my scalp mostly once no more then twice a week because the itching and flaking be serious 😂. The oil really helps to combat the dryness and itching of my scalp but my scalp and hair still feels dirty. However, once I wash my hair with the Sisterlock or Clarifying shampoo SO MUCH of my hair comes down at the root immediately. My concerned is the hair still being not washed is causing even more slippage. Would it be advised to do mid-washes before my re-tie wash. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated 😊

@desireec1501 make sure to braid and band and let it completely dry before removing the braid.

Thanks for the video! I can so relate. My slippage is at the ends. I braid and band when I wash and I braid and perm rod my ends at night. I'm 6 months in and just this last retie my loctician said I have more slippage than ever before. Just a little frustrated because I thought I was doing everything I was supposed and I've changed nothing in my routine but now it seems my process has been set back. Do you have a video showing cute protective styles? Sounds like that's my next move.

@monicamoore4316 here is a playlist of my locstyle videos. Hope you find something you'll like. Also, after shampooing your hair, do you let it dry completely before removing the braid and band? That will keep it from unraveling. Loc Styles: kzbin.info/aero/PL9n9_CTtcMksXIfP26bPhZuKO9-HR4iSu

I have softer hair and even with mature locks, if I use a deep conditioner (with the exception of sister locks brand) my locs start slipping and shedding the trapped hair in the locs.
