I’m about to try this with a 64/34 cotton poly blend, with the synthetic dye more. Wish me luc. When I used it in my sneakers it came out great, and on the second go I found that the more dye I used the better(especially with light colors)

@@AdennFox it’s 2 am in Nj and I just finished washing my shirt out. ITS AMAZING! Thanks so much for your help!! The colors are dark and full. I hand washed it afterwards with soap and water, and all the colors held perfectly! I’m so excited, and I’m definitely thinking about opening up shop. Also because you said the colors came out light on second pass, I decided to ad a little more die and swirls before placing the bac down,?and the colors are slightly lighter but extremely full. You can barely tell the difference (while wet). I used all synthetic dye more, and a 64/36 cotton/Polly long sleeve. 😁😁😁😁😁🎉🎊🍾🥳🍻👏🏾

@@kalithechamp1412 just curious Kali you mentioned "opening up shop" did you mean make and sell crafts that you have made? The reason I asked you to clarify is that's my goal someday. I have a bedroom with TONS of materials I've been buying a little over 7-8 years. If you or anyone else could "guide" me with any advice on how to sell my crafts, easy to make and sell crafts, etc. would be appreciated. I've always wanted to make clothes and/or accessories for animals... especially dogs. For example..bling a dog collar, dress up food/water bowls, etc...sorry for babbling. Thank you for your time!!! 👍

Kinda look like a Dixie cup 🤣🤣. I love it tho. You def helped me out! I’m getting ready to marble dye some sneakers and so I too bought more dye thinking it would work with my shirt. Now I know otherwise 🤦🏾‍♂️, so thank you. I had no idea I needed the regular dye for cotton, I thought “dye more@ would be all inclusive, not exclude the original 😪. I have a question tho, if the shirt IS a blend do you think the synthetic dye would work on it?and after looking it up, if doesn’t work I don’t understand why rit says it dyes everything including blends and cottons 😪

YES it absolutely looks like a Dixie cup. I can't unseen that now. lol What are your sneakers made of? I've found RIT works great on fabric Converse type shoes, especially if you let the dye sit for a long time. If they're more like a synthetic leathery material, there are dyes specifically for leather. Though I've never tried to marble them so I can't say how well they work.

@@AdennFox I’m just seeing this, but the sneakers are Nike Air Force 1. They are either leather / synthetic leather.

I did this so long ago, there's definitely a lot I'd do differently if I did this again.
