I love these paints I ordered direct from Italy, it’s cheaper and they do dense colours in that set u have so u only need one coat of colour over the base, the also sell fluorescent top colours

Beautiful work, as always. _Quick question_ - Is an edge coat treatment the only option when working with chrome tan leather? And is it common for an edge dye treatment to 'feather'/absorb into the leather face of chrome tan? Also, is there a difference in the constancy of regular acrylic paint vs acrylic edge paint? Thanks! - Cathy (&, accidently, Steve), Ottawa/Bytown/Pimisi

Nice. I find the Giardini edge paint a touch too thick at times. I wished it flowed a little bit more to the edges, but then again that could be my fault. Cheers

interesting! I find it more watery than uniters honestly, but with the dense coat underneath it's perfect for our work

I actually got the recommendation of from giardini to use the dense base coat and the semi dense paint (they have at least 2 viscosities) plus whatever top coat suits your needs. It's rather hard to get my hands on uniters reliably here in Germany. Chat up giardini maybe, Rachele has been immensely helpful.

For the heating, would a hair dryer maybe be easier to use since you can get a lower heat then a heat gun or would it not get hot enough to do the job?

What you're doing is what I saw a guy do on a larger scale. He poured different color paint on a table and then raked across the table with a rake.

Wow, what's it with the toxic replies here all the sudden somebody mad that they don't have sponsors? I agree I would like to see the edges on thinner leather as well, but that's because I am using mostly 4-6 oz on my hobby projects. I started using giardini a few years ago but didn't continue because even the small bottle spoiled on me after opening. Not the paints fault though, it is a hobby and I can barely work in the winter because the basement is freezing. I really like the results if done properly, very smooth and very durable. I have a sample piece of 3 oz chrome that held up to being carried in the pocket and rolled up for months. Oh and I'd like to add, they also mentioned either in the chat or in a video not to bevel the edges and not to sand the edges totally smooth, just well sanded. Not beveling is supposed to create a crisper edge for the paint. No clue.

Sharing knowledge is what helps make a viable living from their basic artistic skills. For the last 70 years I have helped Artista, Film Makers and Book Publishers start their businesses, because while I have no artistic skills, I am a very creative Engineer, with a good knowledge of Accounting and Banking, who has been able to add the "Missing Ingredient to Creative Projects that have involved the Worlds largest Advertising Agencies, Television Studios and Newspaper Publishers. It has kept me young, for my entire life, because I was able to help some very creative people to live their dreams. The benefit was that there was always enough money from these projects for everyone to share. That left me with a Business where my telephone has rung every day for the last 70 years. Money can't buy the joy of simply sharing your talents with others, without worrying about how you would be paid. Unlike all of the "Get Rich Quick" schemes that are now cluttering up the wonderful sharing concept of KZbin. Phil.

Stop using 9 oz of leather to demonstrate edges. Anyone can have a good egde on a single piece of 10oz. Let me see 4-6 pieces of 2 oz leather. See how that looks. But that will never happen because it takes more time and you want to quickly without these videos so you get free samples
