Wow, this was incredibly helpful. I'm a GarageBand desktop user and I've really struggled to get decent guidance on mastering. This tutorial was great and I simply applied the same tips within the desktop application and now my recordings are far better. I had a tendency to oversaturate and try to master within song projects, often ending up with really muddy mixes that just didn't sound great in Apple Music. This has been a game changer for me! Thanks you.

I think the good thing is to use the best tools for the job. If you are serious about making songs then you don't want to prove that you can do things with tools that are not so great. I am not saying garageband is bad, but I doubt that it's the best mastering app for iOS/ipadOS. There are people who are stuck on producing with garageband because it's free, but iOS apps are all so cheap. Thanks for yet another excellent video.
@PeteJohnsMusic3 жыл бұрын
Agreed. You need to experiment sometimes to find out what works for you. As you probably know I’ve used a bunch of different mastering apps and find different methods and apps work well for different types of music and different applications.
