The Mirage 2000 Series is indeed a hidden gem in the tech tree. I‘ve finished up my french air grind with the 2000C-S4 recently. Did the Rank I to Rank VII grind in the Mirage F1 and did the rest with the S4. I was one of the guys who sayed that the Super 530Fs are usable and I still stick with that decision. Maybe not so much in the Mirage 2000 than in the Mirage F1, but it feels like that many people don‘t take chaff in 11.0-12.0. A thing about the Super 530D to keep in mind is that it might be outranged by the AIM-7F, but it comes slightly faster off the rail, but this is only noticeable in a headon joust below 5km.

Oh boy do I love the Mirage 2000C-S4/5. I am a Air sim player, and I love dogfighting F-14 players that always merge at mach 1. The best thing about this plane is that when the low speed handling is mastered...no one cannot touch you.

S4 and S5 are such hidden gems in the game, probably one of my favorite high tier vehicles to relax in after a long grind. Though despite how bad the Super 530Fs are they are still usable as sometimes the anti-chaff resistance it has comes in handy in a head on, or directly behind the six of a jet.

I play ARB exclusively at 12.0 with these 2, F1C-200, and F1C. Still havent gotten the strike versions of either mirage, but ill say its the perfect grinding lineup. Just played a match where I went 12-0 in my C-S4 just flying around like a rat. Some people would rather be caught dead before being seen playing AAB, but its where the fun is at. 12.0 almost never goes up to full lobbies of Fox-3s. I currently have 1076 kills to 364 deaths in the C-S4, and I will also give the same caution that the stock grind is pure cock n ball torture

@@Zw33dDreamZ No problem. The other mode is just normal, non-PD radar search mode, which you don't really want to use because chaff and ground clutter will cause it to break lock.

Since the Rafale came out, I've had like easily 2-3 KD (and I'm BAD BAD at this game) just climbing to 4-6-8km height and lobbing 530Ds at sub 20km (you heard me right, anywhere sub 20km) because the missile just KEEPS GOING

i got the S4 in the event and it was my first 12.0+ br plane, it was rough the grind and the 530F has fail me against non chaffin, non evading targets I decided to write a fight that i had against an F14A In the map "battle for Vietnam" i arrived too late for any kills in the starting furball, in the middle of the map my RWR detects an F14 radar from the north, without thinking 2 times i go full throttle for him, he was on the north lake gaining speed an alt, when i finally get to the lake we fire our radar missiles (he went full AIM54 and i 530D), in the panic of my RWR screaming missile i go notching and defeat my missile in the process, so going as low as possible i manage to evade his missile and using terrain to block any other 54 to be launch, when i turn after him he was already close enough to shoot me down, but far away enough for a magic to do his magic, while the magic went for him i went low to evade his gun, almost ending in the lake. thanks for doing a great video about a great and fun plane

I don’t know how long ago you grinder the mirage 2000, but about a year ago, I’m pretty sure they changed the 530F to make it more chaff resistant. I don’t have the aircraft, but that’s what I remember

hey man I'm about nerd out on 530D yes it may seem that it doesn't have long range cuz and it is true but in inside the 10 second it is faster than aim7m/f and can compete vs27er if you fire first

I'm heavily biased, but I would say the 2KCS4 is some of the best money you can spend in the game if you're measuring in terms of fun.

Interesting, Why do you prefer this to the 5F? Is it just the BR bracket?

While its weaponry is a bit limited (the magics are fantastic but you only have two, and the 530Ds are headon only and short range), there is absolutely nothing you can face that you can't fly circles around in a straight up guns only dogfight if you know what you're doing.

@@tylerhope752 I guess I should say, flight performance *relative to what it faces*. The 5F is identical in terms of flight performance, but instead of fighting all top tier aircraft and fox 3s, you're fighting F-4s and MiGs, which you can absolutely fly circles around.

@michaelterpea6283 it fights fox 3s without even having a propper PD radar. Flight performance is nice and everything, but it's not going to save you from 12 amraams coming out of the stratosphere at mach 4.

@@WPope it's kinda hard tbh. I strongly recommend not taking the stock radar missiles (530Fs), they're about as useless as aim-9Bs but weigh down your aircraft a ton.
