This video was well done. Yes, I've been noting the same keys ... 1) bend knees [gives a great view of the ball while helping get the paddle low], 2) relax the wrist to allow the paddle head to drop and face downward [encourages the low-to-high stroke], 3) brush up on the ball [by rotating the wrist like a windshield wiper] while lifting up with the knees. I'd add that it helps to ... 4) make contact out in front of your body [helps see the ball into the paddle and assists with forward momentum to the kitchen.

This is a great complement to the topspin drive. Changing the speed and angle will help prevent the other team from getting into a rhythm. Nice job!

What's your grip? Continental or Eastern? Thanks.

Hi, when you do the topspin drop, your grip is continental or eastern grip? Also do you take back the paddle a little bit or you take down your paddle straight down?

watch any pro match or high level pickleball majority of drops have spin

@@robertmorales6494 Pros are Pros. Most people aren't Pros....FEW are actually as highly rated as they claim. (Watch Carlos Alcarez hit his drop shots. Tennis player NEVER hit a Topspin drop shot..) The Physics involved in this shot are not conducive to a successful result. Topspin causes the ball to "fall" this is what he's looking for yet you'll end up with shots into the net and a ball that then BOUNCES UP after it hits the ground. If your drop shot starts with a high paddle and slide down on a low arc to the bottom, you will catch the ball more softly and there will be a bit of "backspin" that keeps the ball from bouncing up and will actually want to spin back towards the net. It deadens the ball and becomes very difficult for the opponent to handle...
