Hey man, I used this method yesterday, it´s really really amazing. Thank you very much. I think I will use this method for video shoots too, to match color for example, so cool

I'm very curious as to how you will implement this into your video. If you plan to upload some on KZbin, do drop me a link, I'd love to see. Again, Thanks for watching!

I thought about matching two different video cameras. Same Shot. Then taking a reference photo of both try to match the colors with your method and saving the curve (perhaps as a LUT, if possible). So far the theory. :-D Tomorrow I will give it a try, I have here footage of 3 different cameras.

It's kind of amazing how much more "slick" your new productions are but these older ones explore really important approaches that newer, more streamlined vids you're doing don't dig into....In other words, loving your older work, too!!! You're the best!!! ☺

I know this is an older video, but I just found it for myself. Awesome tutorial. I always hated it when I would take multiple photos of the same person, like my wife, and for various reasons her skin would look a little too different for my taste in the photos. Now I’ll have a way to match her skin more closely. I feel that will help to give my photos a more cohesive look.

Hey Unmesh, I've got a little "extra" tip for this tutorial. Instead of trying to eyeball the luminosity, switch the info panel to display the sampled color in CMYK. This way you can find the exact black level and match accordingly.

Hi Unmesh, first off I want to thank you for your tutorials, they've helped me a lot on my photoshop skills. I followed the steps as per this tutorial however I've run into 2 problems. Firstly when I move strip 2 above the curves adjustment layer the colours don't match, secondly when I turn on the preview of my of my model I noticed that only a selection of the skin has changed but not the whole image. I'm not sure what I have done wrong but it would be a great help if you could help me solve my issues. Thanks again!

Hi Unmesh, I have a problem when I am making the sample of the skin tone. I used the square rectangle tool to take a sample & made it into a separate layer as instructed. But when I go to Filter >> Blur >> Average, the sample changes into white. Complete white. I've tried it on a few different photos & the same thing happens. What am I doing wrong? I'm using Photoshop CC2018 on Win 8.1 (I know! It's what I have though...)

I've watched this video about 14 times now from front to back and I went through every single process. Each time something weird happens for instance sometimes I can't get the layers to reselect. Other times I get the whole image to come out the way that I wanted but that little circle with the crosshairs even though I uncheck the layers of the average colors that circle with a cross hairs is still on my image. And I can uncheck every layer and it's still stuck to my transparent page! I don't know maybe I'll try this again tomorrow. Because it's been hours and each time I do it something bad happens. For instance when I was putting in the new color values for RGB I put one wrong number and I had backspace and it made my whole curves level adjustment layer just vanish. Then on top of that when I have my curves adjustment panel open the information page that you have on yours isn't listed on mine. Initially I was using essential oils but then I switch to photography so we would be on the same Photoshop page itself. And I still cannot get just the info and curves adjustment to pop up at the same time. It was either one or the other. So I wrote my values down and like I said from that moment when I put in one wrong number I had backspace even though the numbers were highlighted and it erased everything. This if anything taught me that photoshop is and will always be a pain in the ass. I just hope one day that luminar comes up with a software where you just push a button because this is equivalent to something like a sky Swap. And is tedious and as big as a pain in the butt they are it's so much easier to just push a button.
