This won' t be viable for new players but if you're making decent money from another lifeskill or mob rotation: Value Pack, Kamasylve's Blessing and Old Moon can be bought from the Central Market. Usually requires preorders, but it's how I get mine so I don't have to use the pearl shop

Correction: Hedgehog does not give a chance to double your loot, but for a second loot roll. That is an important difference. :)

I've never bought the value packs (except when buying the actual game). I always just wait for events and I think sometimes they come from quests

Hold up, so I need both gathering Masteriy (for butchering) and hunting masteries leveled or is just high hunting mastery affecting the gathering entirely? Anyone able to elaborate on how that works exactly? :D As for the artifact lightstone sets, Teddy did expain this but had a friend ask me about this so just incase others pondered, The individual lightstones bonus + lightstone SET bonus are applied separately, so you don't just get +8% hunting exp from the "Eye of the Hawk" lightstone set, from equipping that set you get a total of +20% hunting exp (12% lightstones + 8% lightstone SET/COMBO bonus).

Hunting is based on hunting Mastery. Gathering ONLY is mentioned cause you're using the butcher knife. Hunting is hunting and gathering is gathering unless using the pet or artifact that increases gathering item drop rate since technically you're "gathering" the meat you hunted. As for the combo and artifact. Yeah Ira always a good thought to know you get the bonuses of using an item AND the bonus from the crystal you put on the item instead of thinking you're replacing the effects or uh idk deleting the effects

Ahhh I see but then to be optimal on this I'd wanna swap my clothing from hunter clothes to gathering clothes everytime the mobs are dead and I butcher them, correct? 😮

Not that I'm aware of. Hunting Mastery, the gear your using, combat stats for matchovk hunting, the gathering tools time (-11sec), hedgehog pet, and the yawning hedgehog affects hunting.

Loggia and manos are a waste if you're not using them for gathering and only using it for hunting since the Mastery doesn't affect it and you get the same thing from magical only having to replace them when they hit 0 dura

It depends. Both have very good values but some of them are more anoyying do the one u prefer. Myself i made 20k detection elixirs and sold the to see a big payout after being done 😅

I cant answer that definitively but let me put it like this: Cooking uses mostly cheap simple ingredients and makes very reliable money through imperial delivery. It is fairly striaght forward not a lot of rng-shenanigans and you can afk cook for long stretches of time. Alchemy uses a lot of very rare and expensive ingrdients (tho some elixirs are simpler) and is almost completely reliant on the central market. Returns from delivery are pretty abyssmal, so you make what sells on the market and do of course need a value pack. Many of the elixirs sell for impressive sums and if you arent opposed to gathering, you will still easily obtain most of the rareer ingredients. On top of that alchemy has a somewhat delightful rng system where you get extra stuff from brewing, ranging anywhere from olive oil, to memory fragments, to 300mil alchemy stones. Imagine just being gifted 300 mil when you just made a little bit of powder from herbs that would sell for 8k tops :D Cooking is more in tune with worker nodes, hunting and afk crafting. Alchemy is more in tune with gathering and the occasional monster grind.

Uh lol I use about 8. 6 of the 5% and 2 of the Dim that give +3%. Eventually I wanna get 12 with 2 Durability Crystals for Wagon and Horse Gear.

@@TeddyTwighlite sheesh! Ok, training takes FOREVER to level up but with 100% skill gain on level up (guru 20 💀) you can make infinite coursers, do i understand that right?

Guru 20 is already a kind of Cap for training, after reaching it, the newly trained horse has the most chance to learn skills, which saves coupons if we want to make it a Courser. I currently have Mastery 13, my crystals: 8x exp 5%, and 5x mastery 10 (I don't have Garmoth Heart). Training is probably the hardest life skill in the game to experience, you get the most for catching horses and registering them in the stable, much less for just riding. Still, I recommend switching to gear and crystals for training every time you go somewhere further, e.g. to a grind spot or doing quests :)

@@TeddyTwighlite so why would you recommend magical/lucky when you get to skilled 5 if they don't matter if i can just pick up a loggia for 1.5m from the npc and repair that instead of constantly buying tools

Because people get mad when I tell them to craft and enhance their own manos whatever since it cost too much to buy. so why bother and stick to the lower lesser tools as a beginner. Problem solved

I understand your point, but if you dont approach it from a perfectionist/ min max perspective it really isnt that bad without em. I've had shop buffs for about 20% of my game time, only using free ones and I still have a good time and made good progress. Guru alchemy and gathering, full tet manos (+pen gathering tools). Just make sure not to sell on the central market unless you do have a value pack active.

@@RexxyRobin For sure it isn't much worse without those. To be honest those actually make only a small difference, but as you said "min max" - I guess this is the way I am. But it is completely possible to enjoy the game without those. And for newer players: you can buy those for in game money and get often from events for free. Just because I'm personally someone who doesn't have too much time to play, I just prefer to be as efficient as possible with my limited time :) But people have different reasons to play and some may not care at all about minor exp or convenience differences. When I started playing BDO, I had more free time and actually in first 3-4 months I was just exploring the game and taking screenshots everywhere or in other words not concentrating on being as efficient as possible but actually being more relaxed about the game and in a way enjoying it more :)

@RexxyRobin kinda true, the lack of storage for both normals storage and warehouse hurts with a big worker empire causing you to buy slots, stable and worker slots, needing to run to each node to invest and run to the villa scrolls. They gimped the game and after having the buffs for so long when I lose them most my storage is over full

Everyone should buy a Manos, Lucky or Magic items do not work for hunting. It states it right on hunting.
