I can get my entire ADN program covered by FASFA then there is a 4 semester ADN to BSN bridge that costs under $4k total, books and ALL at the university closest to me. Community college is the best I attend Austin community college in Austin Texas. And it’s been an uphill battle with getting through my pre reqs. But I am not going to give up

Did you do a direct transfer from your CC to uni? How did your credits transfer over? Also did you get in touch with admissions at uni before you applied ?

Yes I transferred straight to university from CC. I got in touch with admissions before I applied and asked lots of questions. 👍

How does a RN program work at a community college? My community college says 2 years but now I’m hearing that after these 2 years I need to go to nursing school and a university after?

It’s encouraged to go back for a bachelors degree .. but the 2 yr adn route .. take the prerequisites, the ati teas exam, nursing courses & neclex. Once you pass the neclex you officially a rn .. a bachelors degree is just the degree doesn’t automatically make you a higher position nurse unless certified..

I’m not exactly sure what the process is but at my college there were tons of international students. I think you would have to take courses to fulfill a GED before college courses.

CC's dont really care about your high school grades. I left high school and took an equivalency exam and still got into CC to do nursing. As long as you pass your cc classes thats all they care about, once you start failing those then they have an issue.
