This short video will show you how to measure and install your standard bespoke insulated Trade Access Panel loft hatch.
This insulated loft hatch with picture frame meets Part L of the Building Regulations U-Value 0.34 W/m2K which when installed meets the latest NHBC Guidelines.
Not only does our new Loft Hatch provide the required Part L Building Regulations U-Value and provide the required NHBC clear opening size, but it is also extremely aesthetically pleasing due to the near, clear and modern finish. The Hatch arrives on site Powder Coated RAL 9010 30% Gloss as standard (other RAL colours are available upon request at an additional cost if required).
The dropdown action of the Loft Hatch is operated from below by way of FREE of charge Tee-Key which is included with every Loft Hatch order for ease of operation (extended 700mm Tee-Keys are available as an extra over option for even easier operation from floor level).
The Loft Hatch is manufactured here in the UK and arrives with you fully assembled and ready to install straight out of the box.
The new design makes this Loft Hatch even easier to install than others in our range due to the lightweight design of the door. You must ensure that the hole in the ceiling is 7mm larger than the panel size to ensure that it will fit. Then you merely need to screw through the pre-drilled holes in the sides of the Loft Hatch frame into the loft joists to secure the Hatch into position and lock the Hatch door with the tee-key provided! Yes, it really is that simple!
The back of the loft frame will be 7mm smaller than your structural opening to allow for fitting tolerance.
