Great informative video. If you was using this for fertiliser calculation, wouldn't it matter if it's not 100% accurate? I was just concerned in case I did this method and I used to much or to less fertiliser whixh could damage the lawn. Thank you. I'm a land based student by the way so any advise would be great. Thank you

This method of measurement should be accurate enough for your fertilizer calculation. Be sure to always follow the manufacturers application rates and use a spreader calibrated with the same fertilizer. Thanks for watching! This is great but what if the area you are measuring isn't circular. Would this still work?

It wasn't clear what was being measured. Was it just a part of the front yard?

Correct, he was measuring the turf and planter area in this example but the method can be used to determine the area of any irregular shaped landscape. Had he wanted to exclude the mulched area from his total he would have done a separate measurement on just that area then subtracted that result from the overall total.
