Thanks for this awesome information. We have a bit of a dog door issue and maybe you can help. We just moved into a home that has a pre-existing dog door in the exterior wall to the back yard. The door is quite large as the previous owners had a large dog. I would like to utilize the door for our indoor/outdoor kitty (who is a pretty hefty, strong girl) but still, I'm not sure if she will be strong enough to push through the flaps. Also, the bottom of the door sits about 10 inches off the ground which seems quite high for her. Any ideas on how we can make this work? Can cats typically use a big dog door?
