You really need to measure both sides of the car. A lot of theses rearends were not exactly centered in the body. Also you need to touch on the biggest issue that cause people to order the WRONG wheels. Wheel width is measured from the tires “bead surface”. This will make a 10” wide wheel actually measure 11” wide overall. A general understanding of how to measure backspacing will help. There are many people that think backspacing is measured on the front side of the wheel. There’s too much money involved to get any of this wrong.
