Hey dolls! Thank you for watching! 💓🩵🥰 As I was uploading I remembered that my good friend Bernadine has a course on this exact TOPIC. 😂😅 Lucky for us! I reached out and got y’all a code if you want to really dig deep into this area of your life. Her course has a ton of positive testimonies, so I can absolutely recommend it. MRSMIDWEST gets y’all 20% off enrollment! She even gave me a commission too, bless her! 👀 The discount gets almost $60 off the course, so big savings IMHO. And as I said in the video… sometimes we need to work on ourselves to identify what’s holding us back in this area!! Xoxo This link takes you to the course homepage! I started telling guys on the first date I was looking to be married and have children within 3-5 years around 23 years old and that sex was off the table until marriage. To my amazement, they all responded very well to this, I had a couple of serious offers and finally decided on my husband, who is a darling. Men like clarity! I wasn't full on about it, just let them know what I was after and it was fine if they didnt want the same, no hard feelings.

Actually yeah. At the time I met my current partner I wasn't feeling like having sex with anyone. I do have sex in relationships but at this time I was going through a celibate reflective period. This guy was known for seeing a LOT of women, people assumed he was a bit of a player or seducer. I actually came on to HIM but I also told him at the same time that I wouldn't be having sex even if we started dating lol. And he didn't care!

I assume you meant it, but that "within 3-5 years" you'll want to clarify. If I heard 3-5 years, I'd walk. Mainly because I've heard so many women saying they want to wait at least that long. I want kids as soon as I marry my future wife and I don't see any reason to date for more than a year.

@@Sarstan Same I see dating a bit as a waste of time. I don't see why a lot of people wait for years to know they want to spend their life with a person. I think we should beleve out intuition and don't lose time. A year seems perfectly fine to me , personnaly I lived with my husband after 1 month and we got married after 6 months. Just keep in mind that normality has a different meaning for everyone

Advice I give to young people now struggling with this is: Default to “Yes”. If you are asked to a BBQ on the weekend, the answer is “yes”. If a coworker asks if you could help with their softball team, the answer is “yes”. If a volunteer opportunity comes up thru work or church or your community, the answer is “yes”. I’m an old married mom of teens now, but I have observed this over the years. I give everyone 3 tries. I ask them to join, or for coffee or lunch, 3 times. After 3 no’s, I move on. Almost every time, the people who say “no”, complain they have no friends or suffer from being austricized. Default to “yes”.

I am happily married, and wanted to mention that sometimes a relationship has to have the right timing. My now husband and I dated and he broke things off before we started dating again and got engaged. We both had to do some internal work and came back with more clarity. Just wanted to say that in case it's encouraging for someone out there.

I was very hesitant to date my now husband because of yes personal things I had to work on! And I just wanted to be sure. But obviously much of that part comes with dating. Once I finally gave him a chance- I knew he was it after a while. And of course I was interested in him from the beginning!!! Haha but it just took time and we became best friends in the mean time. I definitely could’ve handled it better and shouldn’t have been so back and forth with him, but now we have been married for 2 years, have a beautiful 10 m old baby boy and another baby boy on the way!! All thanks to Jesus. He had to help me through it haha

@@kccoj12345 I don't remember exactly. Maybe 8 months or so. I stand by making friends and putting yourself out there in college. Those friends can and often will lead you to the right man. My guy is not on social media at all, lived on the literal opposite end of the state I grew up in, and there’s no way we would have met unless I had struck up conversation with a random girl, who became a roommate & friend, outside of our Calculus I final on the literal last day of that class. My guy is her now husband’s close friend and we just went engagement ring shopping! 💗

After that relationship ended, I suddenly got promoted and relocated, and met my current fiancé at that new location! It’s hard not to see His hand in that but I’m so glad I “saw the light” so this could all be set in motion. Wow! Extremely great tips + insights. You’re so right about the quality of men in the real world versus online. Whilst in my 20s, I dated 3 guys just working at a bowling alley. These men had great jobs and their own nice places. Now that I’m in my 30’s I’ve been on dating apps where these men have either been broke or total narcissists! I’m an esthetician + makeup artist by profession so I can only meet women now but my job location is right next door to a very cute + cozy coffee shop. Whilst working at the snack bar of that bowling alley, I realize I was actually the one who made the first move with at least 2 out of the 3 of those guys 😲. Just watching your video here just made me remember how much more open and outgoing I was compared to how I’ve gotten now-just working and on dating apps and super single! This just reminded me to start being more intentional with my whereabouts! I think the least that I could do is be more present at the coffee shop next to my workplace and even visiting this car wash right next to where I reside! Again, totally love this video! It should help a lot of women!! ❤

As a “young at heart” senior Christian widow, I’m not your typical viewer. It’s been 8 years since my husband passed, and I’m tired of being alone. I want to meet a godly man, but have no idea how to go about it. I love my church and have seen a couple of men there I’d like to get to know better. Our church is large, and the only time I see them is at church services. I’ve asked a few of my friends if they know them, but they don’t. I don’t know how to go about letting them know I’m interested without seeming too forward. I’ve asked God about it in my prayers, but so far, no answer has come. Perhaps he will speak to me through some of you younger single Christian men and women who are viewers of this channel. Thank you and God bless you. 🙏

Hey... Your attitude towards life seems so cheerful and forward looking it's truly inspirational. Hope I can have the same outlook someday. I can see how it may be a little tricky to approach men directly, especially when you don't know what experiences they come from. I'd suggest you put the word out to friends and close relations you trust, at church for example, that you're looking to be in a relationship again. That way, they can set you up on a date with someone of a compatible background and you can see where it goes from there.

Honestly, I am an extreme introvert, I sometimes went months without seeing another human being when I was in university (online classes, yeah). That being said, I still met around one man per year in my life that would have qualified as a possible husband. Sure, it´s not a huge pool of people, but if you decide to get to know this person, then between the age of 16 and 26 you have already had a pick of 10 possible suitors who would make a good husband. Good advice on making the first move though, I struck up the first conversation with all four men that I dated in my lifetime and I would probably never have had a proper conversation with them if I wasn´t the one to go up to them and say something like "Hey, you look like a young Axl Rose from Wish, what music do you like to listen to?" (that was the actual first full sentence I said to my husband)^^.

Okay, I commented before watching the whole video and now I would like to add something. I am married and my advice for single ladies wishing to be married would be that most men don't have strict checklists! If I asked my husband why he was drawn to me, he cites empathy, humour, and kindness, so more vague quality than thigh gap, blonde hair and college degree. Be yourself, be your best self and everything will be okay. And accept that men are looking for different things than women, while I do look for a intelligent man, men have a different focus. I have a higher degree than my husband, but he couldn't care less (but is also not bothered by it).

Hi Caitlin, I’ve been a long time subscriber and reading your blog. And im sorta in a difficult situation . My dad recently passed away and I was very close to him. Im actually a homemaker because of him, he was so proud of me. When my dad got sick with Cancer I took care of him, but now that he’s gone I realized I put my entire life on hold. I don’t regret taking care of my dad, I’d do it again in a heartbeat. I guess what I’m trying to say is: I’m stumped. Im not able to do the things I love anymore like walking, fashion, makeup, painting, and even my chores. Which I used to absolutely love doing. If there’s any piece of advice you can give, I’d very much appreciate it. Especially because from other videos you’ve made you’ve expressed the loss of your parents. I know it’s a different situation and type of losing someone, but I’m craving any form of relatability. I feel really isolated. If you read this, I hope you have a good day, and thank you for all of your videos. Sometimes I rewatch your old videos when I need support to human again, so thank you.

Oh sweets I’m so very sorry for your loss. I quite frankly cannot imagine the pain you must be experiencing. I’m also so sorry you’re having to shift your life so much! ❤❤ This kind of reminds me of how it felt to go from a solo homemaker to taking care of a baby and not being able to do my old stuff. It was so hard and I almost felt like I was having to let go of my old life. In time though, I’ve learned to incorporate Homemaking and beauty back into my life, just in way smaller doses. So I guess I would say, try to work through your grief and focus on getting your new life off the ground, but just remember that it won’t always feel like this. You’ll get back into your hobbies and Homemaking someday, even if it’s not full time. And in the meantime, try to do thirty minutes a day of what you used to do. It will really help!! Over time, you may be able to fit in more. ❤❤❤❤ sending you big hugs. Go easy on yourself please! 😊

The debutant season was to go & socialize & meet as many girls as possible to find your husband from their level of society. The book mentioned how girls have marriagable brothers & such, & all the socializing was exhausting. It was one big networking event to find a husband.

Don't panic! 😊 You've got lots of time. I was 29 when I met the love of my life, my husband, and now at 30 am expecting our first child. As long as marriage and family are on your radar in your 20s, you'll be ahead of most of your peers already.

Mom needs to chill out. This isn’t the 80s-90s anymore. It was much easier back then but it’s harder and they need to accept it. Like the other person above me said, you still have lots of time and it seems like you’re being intentional.

I recently read the book « Attached » And came across eye opening truths.. like, how much attachment theory matters, and how later in life, tho pool of « dating » and « available » men is composed mostly by avoidant style males, etc. This book I mentioned is really eye opening. I like the honest and accurate way you boil things down into your video. It is really something!

Can I just say how much credibility this has because you acknowledge there are men who want a traditionally minded woman for bad reasons? I don't know what kind of life I'm suited for yet, I'm just trying to stay open to possibilities.

Great advice! I've found dating to be easier when I meet the guy in real life instead of online. I totally can say that even with online guys, usually the ones that look good on paper have some issues. And please start a podcast! I would love to listen to your content while out and about.

I met my husband online but not on a dating site. I met him on Tumblr would you believe, and it was due to our shared interest in heavy metal and we actually had the same favourite band. I wasn't looking for love online but I was just always drawn to him from the beginning though he lived in England and I lived in Australia. I moved to England almost 2 years ago, got married and I'm due to give birth to our first child next month. I just always knew moving here to be with him was what I was meant to do.

You are so right in beginning by working on yourself and healing yourself. But man, that can be so difficult when you're still so young. I look back at myself and realise I lost opportunities with great men because I couldn't be open to them yet due to trauma. Not eveyone gets a fair start at life and relationships. Thankfully nowadays, there are so mch more resources to learn and grow and teach you about yourself and your experiences.. Like this video by you. :) And to all ladies (like myself) and gents who have daughters... The example you set and relationship you build with her and as a family unit, can set her up for success. Take care of yourself, so you can take care of her.

Women have been making the first move for eons! I call it “dropping the handkerchief”. You know like back when women carried them around they could “accidentally” drop it in front of a man so he could pick it up and she could be so grateful for his help!
@donnaellis9721
@donnaellis9721 Жыл бұрын
Yes! A woman's first move is kind of subtle and indirect. Like holding eye contact with a man a little longer or like you said, dropping a handkerchief and letting him know how grateful you are. It lets the man of interest know it's ok to approach or ask you out :)

34:15 High quality man would only feel he’s winning if it is going well with a high likelihood of payoff with a high quality woman. Dates are an inherent loss for men so no payoff means a loss. “Winning at life” is very strong and errs on the side of desperation for the man. Why would he feel that way if he has other high quality options that are more available?

I never had luck dating in my circle I was living in, but I also was very stubborn and didn't want to do long distance or even try online dating for reasons Caitlyn mentioned: analysis paralysis / it's like shopping for a spouse! Funny enough, God had the last laugh because I found my current fiance (husband-to-be in 26 days!) online AND we dated long distance for a year! And I wouldn't change it for the world :) Long distance forced us to communicate and be friends first. Just remember that in the end, does it really matter HOW you meet your future spouse, so long as they are the right one for you? That's the question that was playing in the back of my mind as I was going through the trenches in the dating world... it just took time and patience! Timing is everything and God's timing is always perfect.

What if you decide in twenty years you want to work Also I do believe being a home maker is a career choice. You have to learn about fabric quality and integrity, what products do the best work (thank you good housekeeping), how to mend/sew/alter, interior design, beauty maintenance, cooking, mea planning, cleaning shift scheduling… it’s not like you can just sit all day. A home maker uses systems to keep the home a home and not a box full of mess and resentment lol. Not to mention not keeping it clean is a health risk! Cleaning is hard work sometimes, cooking- making your own bread or muffins or cookies to save money is hard work. Making a budget that’s realistic but not too kei isn’t is hard work, a lot of trial and error and learning from experts. Dishes all day long, hard work. Vacuuming, a work out. Knowing all about your appliances and tools (like vacuum cleaner, air filters, garbage disposal, light fixtures, if the carbon monoxide detector is working/seasonal updates, what model your water filter is, the dates of replacement). It’s a lot of stuff. We are essential managers. As for beauty you also have to learn make up skills, color theory for your best foot forward, style, building a functioning wardrobe for your actual life.❤.. like have you tried shopping for dresses that you can put on in a Monday morning to sit at the kitchen table and make a to-do list? They’re all party or do me dresses. Unless you wanna wear jeans, which are too hot to work hard in. Cotton linen pieces that are flattering can run up to $150 from authentic seamstress retailers.

Hello! I really love your videos! I have definitely been w the wrong guys for too long but I learned a lot from them. About four years ago, I feel very much in love with the wrong guy. I really wanted it to work and I prayed to God so much. But I have experience with how God answers my prayers and there was just a feeling that He was pushing me in a different direction. I was stubborn and afraid; I really wanted this to work. This guy said he loved me so much but looking back, I realize he was infatuated and it was not real love. God put so many barriers in my way to be with him. I was so annoyed and hurt. Suddenly, so many men wanted to date me and I felt hurt. I told God the most hurtful thing that could happen is that I am meant to be with someone else. I (this is embarrassing to admit but I will!) felt like Id rather be alone than be with someone who wasn’t the man I thought I loved. God had different plans. I felt like things weren’t working between me and that guy. I decided to try what God was pushing me to do. I decided to end it with the guy (I mean, there was almost no other option, this guy was a mess sorry to say. He did not actually care. He was all words but no action) and four days later, I met my now partner. Been together for three years and I am really happy. The last thing I wanted was to be with someone other than the guy I wanted. But God had other plans. And His plans are always better. So pray for anything you want. God will put you were you belong. I like to believe all my prayers to be with my ex actually led me to my current partner. God did hear me

As a 30 y/o woman who is single and also introverted is so difficult to find someone who wants a healthy relationship and not just hook ups. I think a lot about having children, I want to have a family and it scares me that we women have a time to have children, the older you get the harder it is and there is no way I would want to have children without a partner to raise them with 😢 honestly, dating in 2023 is...something

Men like to teach you things that they are into and they also like to learn (if only at surface level) what you are into. Like say the guy you like is into carpentry and is building a cabinet. Ask him why he picked that type of wood or joint?? Did he draw up the plans for it or find them online? And if he asks why you love houseplants so much DONT Say because they don't talk back. Actually tell him about your plant. Oh this plant was originally my grandmother's and grandpa gave it to her as a I'm sorry I ran over the roses with the lawnmower... be engaging. Be interesting. Because you are!!!

Hello ! Missed you 💜 I'm currently experiencing falling in love with an amazing good faithful man but my fam and friends are critical of superficial things like how masculine his voice is or how tall he is or how much money he makes . I'm also feeling this pressure to prove to them that we really do love each other and I feel like I'm being interviewed about this topic which is uncomfortable cz I'm a private person . I don't want that to affect me in any way and i don't wanna put him through that ... any tips please ?

Hi Caitlyn!🌷💜🌸🌹✨ I love your vlogs and videos. I was wodnering if you know women who got married and became housewives in their 30s. It would be so great to hear some positive stories about them. It would really inspire women who didn't get married in their 20s because they bought into the narrative that they have to be strong independent women...or women who were forced to work and focus on their birth families because their parents were battling severe mental health issues. Thank you sooo much!🎉🎉
