Thanks you, it must make everybody, for better optimization. My mesh with 17 material slots use 17 Draw Calls! After merging mesh use small count of draw calls.

I’m not even going to ask why you need 17 material layers. I thought I was over using overlay materials lol

In UE 5 this options does not exist anymore. Where can I find it?

I believe it's under tools -> merge actors. It's the 10th one down.

I did this and it increased my disk size (though my memory size did get lowered). Is this normal?

Whatever I do ,when I click on merge it doesn't create a combine material

Does this not work on Skeletel Meshes?

Unfortunately I don't think it does. I used this for skeletal meshes: www.unrealengine.com/marketplace/en-US/product/meshbake/questions?sessionInvalidated=true

Hello. When I throw the animation I made in the blender using the bone into the unreal engine, the animation works properly, but the bones are very small. How can I fix it. Can you suggest a source. have a nice day

Are all the bones small? But the same size?

@@nixies78 all bones are the same size in belndar so and they are big.

How would I go on about getting a second material slot? :)

Also I have to mention, I really like your tutorials! You're excellent at teaching away stuff in a short amount of time:) It's a stretch of course, but I'd love to see a video on how to create a material simulating bubbles moving through a mesh tube! Been trying for weeks now, still can't find out how to do so!

So the problem is the material slots are set at the model level. Usually you would change them in a modeling programme such as Blender or Maya. What is it you are actually trying to achieve? A number of things can be done within the material using masks, or layers.

Thanks good to know. It's really just when I figure something out I just record something quick so I can share it. As for the material, could you give me a little more information? Is it just the water you need the material for or the tube too. A simple panner animation could make something like that work, but making it react to the side of the tube is difficult. Might be better as a particle system.

@@nixies78 I’m trying to combine an opacity mask (with an animated texture using panner + rotation) with an emissive material, to create this sci-fi feeling. Both materials + mesh is created in Unreal:/ Imagine bubbles travelling through/on a tube. But the tube should be emissive, with the bubble texture (alpha mask) moving on top of it. I’m starting to realise it might be impossible? It’s for a VR game, so I’m not sure how expensive such a particle system would be! I also couldn’t find all that many tutorials on it so that’s to no use anyways hahah.

@@LynxWatcher So you want the tube to be transparent and you can see the liquid inside them bubbling. Hmm, I would probably use a combination of bump off set (or Parallax Occlusion) to create a feeling of depth and you could have bubble in that. It's going to get expensive. Not sure if it would be useable in VR. In my experience it would really depend on the how good the VR system you have. it would be a bit expensive and if you are looking at building to a mobile level system it would struggle.
