how to merge pkg files with multiman

For those with two or more .pkg files and/or those who can’t find the game after installing the files, I found out the answer while going through the same problem with X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2 .pkg files): Using multiMAN as shown in this video, you just need to copy the .pkg files from the external drive to the internal HDD’s “packages” folder. You don’t need to rename the external folder and overwrite the original. Then, exit multiMAN and install the files in order using the package manager. Yes, the game won’t appear with the others on the default screen for some reason - BUT if you go back to multiMAN, and look up your games, it WILL be there! Select it, and you’ll be sent back to the XMB, where your new game now appears as if it was loaded as a disc. Start it and have fun. I’m not sure why it happens that way, but it is what it is. In my case, the Wolverine game is working perfectly. EDIT: as I’m new to CFW, I found out that I had to update my game list via webMAN configurations to make the game also appear on XMB normally. So there you have it: everything solved!

@@djibouille I went through the same thing recently, the Wolverine game I downloaded had two .pkg parts. I managed to find out the answer. What you do is: copy the .pkg files to the internal HDD as shown in this video (although you don’t have to overwrite the folder, just copy the .pkg files straight to the internal “packages” folder), install them in order via XMB package manager, then update your game list via webMAN. If you don’t update the game list, the game will appear in multiMAN and it will send you back to the XMB, where it will appear as if you had a game disc loaded. If you start the “disc”, it will play fine. You don’t have to go through this, however, if you update the game list via webMAN. After updating it, the game will appear with the others normally in the “my games” XMB folder.

Yes there is also a CD version of W2K15 you can play that in your PS3 and if your PS3 is jailbroken you can also copy the game from CD to PS3 If you are talking about DLC then you have to make sure which region your CD belongs to then download DLC of that region

I'm having an issue with yakuza 5 and I just wanna confirm that the issue is what I think it is, can the USB be formatted to ntfs or does it have to be fat32? I know it says that the driver is ntfs but I think I'm misunderstanding something because the USB doesn't show up in the file manager. The files are 4.4gb each so they can't be transferred via fat32

If you are using a storage device of fat32 then you cannot transfer files larger than 4gb In this case you have to download splitted files(basically rar files) Or else you can also try downloading pkg version of the game PS3 multiman can detect ntfs file system but the process is a bit complicated so I wouldn’t recommend that If you want I can share a link of yakuza

Yes you can use two usb devices to copy a single game In this case you have to copy all the files in hdd0/newfolder/packages After all the files have been copied in hdd0/newfolder/packages Copy the packages folder to hdd0 It will ask to overwrite After pressing yes it will automatically merge all the files

I still couldn't copy the whole, say 8 GB big package file, as it always fails to copy halfway through FTP, that's why I tried to split them. It's interesting that the splitter name them .666xx by default, then what's the purpose of it instead using .001? Thanks for your quick reply. So I would need to use a USB key as a must, that's the only way xxmb recognised the files splitted and merge them automatically? Also, could you please tell me what is the purpose of .rap files generated by the splitter, would you need to deal with them? I managed to copy a smaller, under 4 gigs game to the said /package directory, I manage to install it, yet it asks for PS store validation. Thanks in advance 🙌

A single file larger than 4gb cannot be downloaded in a phone's external storage Many people use their phones to download PS3 games So game uploaders split larger games into .666 or 001 and rar files So that people can download those small files(usually smaller than 4gb) Rap files are usually license files Rap files are sometimes required after downloading a PKG game

Hi 1.Renaming files isn’t necessary Multiman will detect and merge the game 2.You can download Pkg games with license files then it won’t require hen to be enabled 3.I am using hen so I would suggest staying on hen Thanks for watching the video
