For anyone wanting to merge multiple mods that modify the same param file, but the two param files don't actually overlap anything within each other. Rather than Export CSV > Quick action > Export entire param to file instead do Export CSV > Modified rows > Export to file > Export all fields This will only export the modified parts of the param file, then when you import the CSV to the param file you're trying to merge, it will instead add to the existing param file rather than replacing everything in there.

Also to anyone having issues finding the import. Go into the spot you exported the file, instead of typing the name again, on the far right youll see a "filter", click that, bottom option, itll show up. Cheers!

Thanks for the video guide; I couldn't follow just the written instructions on Nexus. One note, at 15:50 the reason you couldn't find the file is the format by default saves without an extension (even though it is exported as CSV from DSMapStudio); change the file types on the right to "." and you will be able to see the file.

I had a question if you dont mind asking, I opened a mods regulation bin but it doesnt show anything green in the param editor. Is it because I didnt edit the regulation bin myself? So it doesnt know what was the original state?

I have two mods, one with many folders containing Regulation.bin files, and the other with only one Regulation.bin file. Do I just need to merge these two Regulation.bin files? However, I don't understand what's happening at 13:08 with the project.json. Please help me if possible; I'm having trouble merging the two mods, "Map for Goblin" and "Crimson Amber Easy Mode."

Oh ok the way the projects save, for example. The very first step when you select “create” project they save as a j.son file. So for when you have all the exported parameters files you need you would then import them to the original regulation.bin you started with(the j.son file) then once you have all the parameters individually imported to that original created project or j.son file you would then hit the save button and now the bin where that j.son file is should be the new bin with the mods merged after hitting save

can you make a tutorial of conflicting param files, I found two that have conflicting param files but with others in the same param file that don't conflict, how do I just cherry-pick one and copy to the other withought overwriting everything? or mass edits a bunch of param files at once.

You would need to use the search bar and type modified in one of the mods first, then figure out what exactly is green in both mods separately to see where it conflicts, but unfortunately if both mods use some of the same exact parameters you won’t be able to perfectly combine the two mods.

Hey there, Does this work if you wanted to merge changes that you made from an older game version regulation.bin to a newer regulation.bin? Cause I haven't played and updated my Elden Ring in about a year. And now that Shadow of the Erdtree is almost out, I want to merge the changes that I made in my old Regulation.bin to the Regulation.bin from the updated Shadow of the Erdtree. Is that possible?

Yes as long as you follow these steps and everything is up to date it should update the bin with what your current games exe is using

hey i tried using the mega movesets mod aswell as the berserk armor and greatsword and the weapons that should be there at the husk fingermaidens are called ?weapon name? and the weapon arts are called ?weapon arts?, im not sure what to do and i thinks its because the dragonslayer greatsword replaces the base greatsword and so does the deathwalker but im not sure how to go back or modify anything.

I watched your video about DSMapStudio and tried to follow your instructions for finding modified files by typing “modified” in the search bar. However, nothing shows up for me, while you have everything working. Could you please advise me what I am doing wrong? Maybe there are additional settings or steps I'm missing?

What mods are you trying to merge?

@EucliFox started with a modded regulation.bin from the start; if you are starting with just the base regulation.bin from Elden Ring Game folder then you have nothing modified yet (so nothing will show up when you type modified). Follow the rest of the video (create a new project with regulation.bin from a mod, then combine that with your regulation.bin in Elden Ring folder) and it should work.

They don’t have to but they won’t be able to see your mods or you won’t be able to see theirs if you use different mods but should still work for you

I cant get it to overwrite already modified params with new modified params. I guess it can only overwrite unmodified data?

Just depends on how your import/exporting two mods that share the same parameters but basically when combing the two, if they are sharing some of the same things it’s impossible to completely merge two mods because something will be missing from one of the other mods no matter what (if they are sharing some of the same parameters etc)

You don’t need two projects, you just need to create the one and then just merge one of the other mods together for it to work properly as a single project/bin

Only the modified ones will be green, but just make sure when you created the new project you imported the modded reg bin correctly otherwise it might be just using the regular one
