Before or after packing the muffler bearings?
@jamesmonahan18198 жыл бұрын
Tom M My uncle said always run the muffler bearings dry. the stuff you pack in there just attracts dirt. He was a real mechanic he could change the engine in his Monte Carlo in 5 minutes with a screwdriver and a pair of vice grips and no hoist. He used to have every tool that snap on made but he stamped them all with his name and it caused micro fractures to form and they all broke, and snap on wouldn't give him new ones because he put his name on them. Once he got a flat left front tire and he didn't have a jack, so he put on the parking brake, put it in drive, and threw a brick in the gas peddle, and the torque lifted up the left front tire so he could change it, with his screwdriver and Vice Grips. He said if it would have been a back tire he would have used reverse.

Yeah I doubt they are checking brands, if they see a easy buck it don't. Here's how life works when your in the hood. A branded and stickered work truck comes in for repair, the truck has nothing in the cab so it is left unlocked but has cars parked behind it to block it in. Thieves bust out the window of the unlocked truck, fuck the dash trim up to steal the factory radio that had nothing special going on. The owner used to chase and fire his gun off at people like that when he caught them, but times have changed and #blacklifesmatter

It's that Citroen doesn't have much value when you buy it. BMW does, and nobody wants to buy a used one, because when you have a BMW (meaning a real car, not SUV), you're a lot more likely to go rough with the car, meaning the second owner might have to pay for all your repairs, and nobody wants to risk it.

Don’t bother etching your name on Pittsburgh tools. No one will take them.

Czar R. Pretty sure a Pittsburgh socket turns a bolt just as good as any other brand

I have to disagree. I’ve seen a 10mm socket turn into a 10.3mm socket after a weeks worth of work. Cheaper tools is not always a bad thing. But there are certain tools that you can’t go cheap on. They are cheaper for a reason

did you solder the alligator clips to your wires?(what gauge wires did you use) solid or stranded?
@DrunknOdin5 жыл бұрын
I'm thinking about using 12g wire. Have you tired it etching yet? If so what gauge wire? Soder?

Should work theoretically. I wouldn't do it with the computer assembled though. Might damage it. Get the casing isolated.

Yes! It has to be bare metal but I am thinking about trying it on some wheels and then painting them!

Yes, those are Chrome sockets I am using. Be careful because the etched area might rust on chrome wheels if you dont add oil.

Would this work on rims?
@TheRuneChemist8 жыл бұрын
Assuming it is a conductive, non-painted metal surface, I don't see why not.
@notirishrider79538 жыл бұрын
I do not see a reason why it would not .... just keep in mind break dust and dirt might make it less visible
@vader20428 жыл бұрын
+RuneChemist yeah, it would like sick having a name on it.
@chrisfix8 жыл бұрын
I was took that part out of the video because it was too long. Now I am regretting that decision! I think I will have to make a video just on that now!

And the Sharpie won't wash off when cleaning? If not, I really want to do this.
@chrisfix8 жыл бұрын
If you let the sharpie sit for a day before washing it should last. I am not so sure the sharpie is what makes it dark on stainless anyhow because you would think it would wash off in the dishwasher... It might just be the metal is a different color due to the etching process.
@brodytunnell998 жыл бұрын
Awesome man. Thanks for the reply!

Just did this and the sharpie stayed on and would not come off at all. I did a logo into a yeti and looks awesome.
