A nice trick when using fast melee units (cavalry, eagles) and chasing down oposing archers is to split and run to them until you reach them and then patrol, so you sorround them entirely

it should be noted that units don't split while they are attacking. So you have to issue a move command to actually commence the split. Not sure if the stop command will also work

how does one deal with the lag in real game, just seem harder to pull with few seconds delay.

it could be tricky to micro under lag. If its just a couple seconds try to click ahead of time (predict the lag type thing). If the lag is unbearable id recommend just patrolling with balistics and focusing your energy on macro rather than micro!

Hera, When you’re splitting are there any tips of where you click with the mouse when you want your units to split? I feel like I always order them to the wrong spot when they split and it causes my units to get wiped by mangos.

Yeah so the general rule is to split by walking towards the projectile ur trying to dodge. If a mango is in front of u, and u split to the side for example, the units might do some weird pathing and end up getting clapped by the mango shot
