How to Migrate Project From SIMATIC Manager STEP 7 to TIA Portal

Project migration in Siemens PLC is an important business for Automation Engineers. Those who are using updated PLC programming software, for instance, TIA portal, they cannot open the program, which has done in SIMATIC Manager Step 7. However, the situation demands that you have to open that program in Total Integrated Automation. Then what to do?
In this video, I have shown in details how to do that? At first, you have to extract your RAR file to a normal folder. Then open your TIA portal software. After that, you will find an option named migrate project. Double click on it. Browse your program, which has done in TIA portal.
After browsing you need to click on migrate project. TIA portal automatically started creating a new project of its own environment. After completion of project migration, a new project has created in TIA portal. You can now edit this program with TIA portal. Easily can upload and download the program to and from PLC.

When I migrate my project I get an error ":There is no suitable STEP 7 version installed. Please install STEP 7 V5.4 SP5 or STEP7 V5.5.,9/8/2021,2:39:47 PM". I don't understand why I have this error when the purpose of migrating is for me to use it in my newer software. I am running Siemens TIA Version 14. Can you please assist?

Is mandatory to install step 7 Simatic manager according to your program to migrate your project. Install simatic manager step 7. And your problem will be solved.

It is important when you want to work with TIA portal and your program is done with simatic manager. It is just one reason only.

Because same factory have so much plc and need software . It better to make all software same I mean comman . In case factory have plc s7 5..5 and another machine have Tia portal 13.or 14 or 15or16 you need 10 laptop . But if you migration all to one version you need just one laptop with one software

You project so simply so you can. Migration . In case you have hug project with sfc..and sfb at step 7 you can not make migration .. with best regards brother

Because Step 7 doesn't work on windows operating system newer than Windows 7. And Windows 7 is officially removed from usage. TIA works on new Windows OS.
