I really love the way you broke down this subject into easy in easy understandable pieces. My favorite part is when you spoke about your mentor, and it made think about an equation, time + time=influence meaning we are influenced by the people we spend our time with on earth. Apparently, you choose wisely!

Hindz, I kind of have a different story. I don't struggle with what to say, I struggle with how I sound. I didn't always struggle with speaking, but 2 years ago, something happened to me and it changed how I sound. I was thinking, "this video is not for me, it's for those who don't know what to say." But God was like, "listen to what he says". And, Hindz, your words are helping heal my heart! A lot of it has to do with my mind set. I do believe it's all mental. I need to get in a place on non judgement and that I'm better off than I think. I have everything within me to have clearer speech. I just need to start believing in myself more and using my words more! Like you said, out of fear and being uncomfortable, I have kept my mouth shut a lot over these 2 years. But, I need to start speaking up. I am believing for me to get through this. Thank you Hindz.

Damn I can relate but my case is a lil more extreme. After my dad died 8 years ago, I isolated myself & became a mute because my anxiety was so bad. After years of not talking, I pronounce my world awkwardly to the point lots of people ask me where my accent stems from lol. On top of that my voice had become higher pitched and weaker, with very little base. Starting to put in the work now to change all this and overcome it

I’m so thankful I’ve come across this video because I’ve been wanting to work on the way I speak. I don’t have a fear of showing up and speaking it’s just when I’m start taking lol I have this narrative that I can’t speak well. Many things have factored into this, feeling inadequately educated amongst my peers, feeling like I’m being judged, or wishing I spoke as eloquently as someone else. This has inspired and motivated me to shift my perspective and FIND MY voice. Thank you for this 🙏🏼

ABSOLUTELY agree! Through silence is a WHOLE other level of connection that you get from another person! (Something about silence indeed connects you to the other person in another level) Connecting trough each other presence Also, you're not off about the impact of ones voice depending on how they speak about others, I do notice that some voices do indeed have more meaning, than others, so their is something to that!

This is me! I hate my voice😢
@FrequencyMadam.Chakrah-vq3pc
@FrequencyMadam.Chakrah-vq3pc Ай бұрын
🙋‍♀🙋‍♀I CANNOT stand the sound of my voice!!! It sounds very monotone and lifeless, at times. When I hear it, I feel it doesn't even sound like how I imagine my voice sounds. It doesn't even match the ME that I am if that makes sense. I wish my accent was thicker. I have been told I switch from a regular voice to "really country", which I didn't even realize that's something that I do. I definitely want to expand my vocabulary. I used to love looking up words in the dictionary. I would then apply the words that stood out the most. I don't even do that anymore. I have been doing audio journals, just because when I'm in my head thinking I have learned that some of the things I say are so profound in HOW I have learned them that I need to hear it aloud to see if it makes sense if I was listening to me as someone else. I can deviate from my original thought, lose my train of thought, and/or jump around to various subjects often. Jumping into the art of spoken word has made me think more about tonality and texture as you mentioned. I am a naturally loud person and I have grown to love it, again. It was not encouraged when I was younger. That's also interesting what you said about your mentor's mantras because I have a similar saying that, " I do what I can, while I can, when I can." I just don't say 'the best'.
