Why does it take several days to download the blockchain before you can do any mining? very frustrating

Sounds like you need to run bootstrap (downloads the blockchain very fast) - in the "Wallet" tab find the settings icon right under Verus native placed in the left side. When you have clicked on the icon choose "Bootstrap" - it may take some time but if your machine have some horse power it will be ready within a couple of hours

Hi Nicolas - You could solo mine with the Ryzen 9 5900x but it will take you a long time ( weeks ) before winning a block. If you want to solo mine you can use Verus Desktop App. Go to the Mining tab and activate mining option - You find it close to the staking option. Choose the numbers of threads you want to mine with. Personal i would use hellminer pointing at LuckPool and win a small amount of VRSC for every minute i am mining. Happy mining :-)

Hi 3D Shortz. Yes you can SOLO mine in the wallet by using the drop down option next to the staking option. Select how many threads you want to use. Now be aware that you can only solo mine in the Verus Desktop. It can take weeks to hit a block and earn VRSC. Thats why i show the pool option in this video. But in the long run the result should be the same :-)

If you see a different wallet being used - do tell:-). Anyway use the wallet you want to and get started - PBaaS will soon go 100% live with Ethereum bridge activation next.
