Idk why Maggie going to the water bowl for attention was so hilarious😅. Yassssss this is the video I needed, your braids didn't shrink despite using a water based product. Excited for the wash day video. If I can get away with just using the aloe-oil mix I may skip the water-based products all together. BTW, loving the nail color, I see you keep your nails short now 🙂

I will make a video on keeping braids looking good after wash day as well. Thanks about my nail. I give my nail a 3 or 4 month break from painting and the length. But now I'm painting them again so I'm growing them out again. I like long colorful nails March to September then I chili out.

Molding the braids into a shape after moisturizing. Brilliant. I used to wear mini braids years and years ago but stopped for this very reason of them looking very frizzy and unkempt after getting wet. Nowadays,I like rinsing my hair almost daily so my braids never look fresh for very long. But I think I'll try to band them to prevent the shrinkage since my hair is not quite shoulder length yet. Then is it gets longer I'll try the wrapping. Excellent idea!

I appreciate your videos so much. I m new to your channel and Im so happy I found you. Your hair is beautiful and you're very funny. Im definately going to try this. I usually take my mini braids down after a week or two because I really be afraid to wash them because of frizz

I like how you say 2020 is the year of no waste. 2019 is my year of purge and I'm hoping I can make it to 2020 with all this excess stuff gone out of my life. I have an eBay store so it's kind of difficult because I need to keep some stuff around, but even that needs to get whittled down. I purged most of my hair care products already. But I do like to experiment with conditioners for my wash and go's and detangling.

Okay. So I am too lazy for this. I usually section my hair in 5 and band or African thread the section. Cross the sections, no pins and tie my hair up. That is what works for me. Sleeping with hair pins or clips is so un comfortable.
@miss_kolissa
@miss_kolissa 5 жыл бұрын
Lol, that works too. Somehow I feel like African threading takes up a lot more time though, especially for long hair🤔
@NaturallyMarked

Is not to to bad wrap. If u do it more and more you will get fast and can do it in your sleep. Lol I have to do stuff like this hours before bed to because when I'm sleepy it's over I'm going to sleep. Bobby pins are uncomfortable if you put them on your scalp. I have to look up what African threading. I like talking to yall, yall teach me new crap
@40EntrepreneurDrive
@40EntrepreneurDrive 5 жыл бұрын
African banding or threading is also something that I'm interested in.I tried in the past but can't seem to get a snug enough start around the roots. I don't want it too tight to prevent breakage, but it slides down without getting a good anchor, if that makes sense.

@briabria7043
@briabria7043 5 жыл бұрын
Your hair will probably loc for that many months especially in twist. Maybe try just 3months, wash and repeat
@NaturallyMarked
@NaturallyMarked 5 жыл бұрын
Um me personally I will not leave mini twists in my hair no longer than 3 months and three months is pushing it with mini twists your hair will lock up on itself if you wash it. But if your hair dont lock.... just watch your hair closely. Listen to your hair. Also I have mini braids videos on my channel. Hoping that can help. Also I'll make an updated mini twist video after my mini braids are out.

Yea I'm just truly over buying things that I can make myself and buying item from big companies that dont care about us as people. Making rich people more rich. It's more to it. But I always like making my own stuff and seeing how alot of these products dont work on my hair so why should I keep buying crap that dont work for my thick course Nappy ✊🏾✊🏾 hair. I'm not only done with hair products, I dont buy toothpaste , mouthwash, deodorant, lotion. I make all those items now and body soap is black African soap or Castile soap. Trying to stop using plastic.... it's a slow change but one step at a time. That's why I've been making more DIY video for you guys. Its a slow change but Pretty much what we can do without I'm not going to get.
