I had to cut out a bunch of length on the left side of my head from chemical damage. It was sooo satisfying, the area that was damaged was super hard to manage so I got scissor angry and just cut it all out. The part that was damaged was super straight and after the hair was cut my hair got super coily, I have mini braids in now and it’s not noticeable that one side of my head is 12-8 inches shorter than one side. I am a little upset that I have to start all over on one side, but looking at my hair and seeing how healthy it looks and feels outweighs that. And the health of your hair looks soooo good, he healthy short hair will always look better than super long damaged hair !

Covid snatched me bald a month after I had it. I had literal smooth bald spots!! It grew bad but finer, so I trimmed then decided to start my locs. I know cutting is upsetting but your new healthier hair gonna thrive girl

The exact same thing happened to me. I had almost hip length hair, and Covid yanked out about 45-50% of my density. I cut it, and it looks soooo much better.

Hi. I've been following your Covid journey from the start. I got Covid too in 2020 and it thinned by hair out so much. I finally cut it in June 2022 last year and was left with about 13-14 inches of hair from 22-23 inches of waist length hair. It was a struggle knowing that it took me 6 years of hard work and care to reach that far having high porosity 4c hair. But this year, I finally got back to waist length. So don't be too sad, I know it will grow back beautifully. Jesus is the answer. Acts 2 vs 38- Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your since and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

@@NaturallyMarked Not really, I've never really had a defined curl pattern, I would say. My hair was just really thin after Covid and when it started to grow back out, the ends looked so much thinner than the new growth and was breaking alot too. It was so hard to manage. But after the cut, styling was soooo much easier.
