good stuff, I do this with my moped every time it runs low on fuel. 40-1 is the best ratio for me too.

I tend to use those cheap fuel mixing bottles as an easy transportation method, I pour 1 litre with a measuring jug and 25ml of stihl hp ultra or Husqvarna XP oil with a measuring jug, that way the fuel to oil ratio is accurate.

So in your opinion is the Oregon 2- t semi synthetic oil better than the husky xp or ls oil , and is the exhaust catalytic converter affected by running 40:1 instead of 50:1

Hi Deborah. I read somewhere that Oregon make's the oil's for Husqvarna. ( I don't know if that's true ) But I really like Oregon oil. I've had no trouble at all with it. Oregon and husky are both good oils. No problem at all running all my modern stuff at 40:1. To me it makes more sense to be safer for the machines. Years ago all the machines were 40:1 then they suddenly changed to 50:1. Hope this helps. Cheers, Calvin

I've been looking for a video like this. I use a mixing bottle like you showed and I find a 1 litre mix is to much for what I need so I was wondering how I could mix half a litre. When I need to make another mix I'm going to check my bottle but have you ever measured to see if the 1 litre fuel mark is correct

Hi Hard worker. I don't trust the 1 litre mixing bottles I did check them once and they take a lot more oil than what they should be so they'd be smoking like hell. I use a beechams cap. 20ml to 1 ltr @ 50 to 1 or 25 ml to 1 ltr @ 40 to 1. I do 40 to 1 that's what I've always used. for 1/2 ltr 10ml @ 50 to 1 or 12.5ml @ 40 to 1. Hope this helps. Cheers Calvin

Great job 👍. Quick question my saw is 50.1 my leaf blower is 40.1 could I use 40.1 on them all

Yes you can, running 40:1 in 50:1 machines, It will increase the engines longevity. The 50:1 ratio is only to pass EPA emission laws, the manufacturer actually wants their machines ran at 40:1. Hope this helps, cheers Matt.
