This is for anyone wondering how you get your mix ratio without guessing. This should help. Say 30-gallon tank. 12.5 SH Now divide 30/12.5= 2.4 want batch strength is 4% Multiply 2.4 x 4= 9.5 So in that bucket, you will put 9.5 gallons SH and the rest of the water plus surfactant So, use the numbers you have to get your equation.

Right now I'm paying $2.13 per gallon for 12.5% SH. In addition, it's a good idea to test the ph of the sh when you purchase. I've found some suppliers sh ph ballance is inconsistant.

@@santy1909 oh yeah that's because at many suppliers for 12.5 percent they make you buy a certain amount which is more than buying just what you need starting out. Also if not left out of the sunlight SH will dilute over time. So if you buy bulk and don't use it after a while, it'll be wast.

@Jays Sidehustles No problems, I just picked up a gallon of "Pro-Chlor" liquid chlorinater the other day, and that was the price. Yes, I still need to send the rebate in which wouldn't be worthwhile for just a gallon. But a few hundred bucks of other stuff makes it worthwhile.
