How to achieve really creal mix by simply making two main components of the song work with each other. In this tutorial I will show you how to make the Kick work with any sort of bass by using sidechain compression and some EQ.

But if you want to switch from electro pumping bass to master a simple kick!!! With another simple bass and not ever NEED TO EQ again only effect record produce well the math is simple it turns out you don't need any class video or anything each octave on your key board takes up a very specific frequency range think of it like when looking at an Equalizing software the sub bass is where and then what and the kick so if you start next time with your bass use for example C2 all of the bassline is done in that octave .. when you add sub bass switch to C1 and if you use this concept to build your

Can I ask you about the audio latency alert that appears when adding a Fruity Limiter? I installed the iZotope Vinyl plugin and immediately got the message saying there was audio latency by up to '7.63 ms'. Do you know how to fix/remove the latency error?

Yo Arcade I have FL 9. So my kick is on channel 2 in the mixer and my sub bass os on channel 6. So when I put the limiter on 6 after side chaining it and I go to the limiter and try to select channel 6 it only goes to 1. What do I do?

SuicidalNEET Well you dont really have to use an 808 you can have a normal kick and a sub bass or you can have an 808 and a kick :D I mean 808 is pretty much a sub bass.. but I mean you can try having another sub bass if it doesnt sound bad. If you do then definetely sidechain that su bass with the kick as well.

Well I have few more videos coming for mixing and I wanted to get the basics covered. Not planning on making any for mastering since I dont see it as important. If you do a great job with the mix then mastering is more or less just boosting the volume. Thats how I do it anyways. The next tutorial is tommorow and its about one technique I use for clean mix ;)

DJ JayDee Nope just FabFilter Limiter and thats it :D Maybe I can improve in mastering but for now I am just fine with the way I do things. One thing is for sure if your song is not good without mastering it definetely wont be good with it :D

No you put a limiter on the Mixer track of the sound and then click on the mixer track of the "kick" and right click under the mixer track of the "sound" and choose sidechain to this track. Then it will show up in the limiter :)

Good tip but not very helpful for advanced mixing, what about eqing the kick and the snare as well, everything still sounded overpowered. I can mix myself but still feel my kick and bass depth missing that dynamic depth. What I do is I cut a little bit on the low end and cut the high end 2 times on the sub and route the sub/ bass to a volume channel that I use as a sidechain. and compress both.
