Man ngl you are a beast for teaching this to the world! So many musicians can benefit from learning to mix/edit their craft. Helps tremendously in terms of playing and the recording process. Thank you and keep crushing it!

I really like the way he mixes & Eq’s his drums…..of course his brutal riffs & tone but a good producer pays attention to all the different elements that make a stellar song - guitars, bass, drums etc etc. I really dig his overall skills to blend all the parts & components together & make an amazing mix.

Mmmmm...I have an idea but don't know if it'll work..Please someone give some feedback... I'm a drummer first guitar player by nessassetiy lol...When I mic my kit can I insert one of them in the input and put that into the plug-in to manipulate certain drum tones...? Would that even work pll.? Thx ✌️🧐🤘

Hell Yeah! Mix sounds great. I haven't engaged here on the channel before. Long time mix and audiophile....have you tried a clipper instead of the limiter on the drums. I switched to a $29 dollar clipper from Blacksalt audio (Jordan V's company) I really like the way the clipper allows the transients to remain intact... And...I don't see the use of too much saturation going on...maybe a touch on each buss. Nothing heavy unless your feeling it. But yeah, clipper on the drums and experiment with some sat...great video and sound! Hitting Sub, like and the bell..

1st Sounds really good - looks like your leaving your drums in a midi format not mixing and processing individual tracks - if it's working for you and quicker I get it - I program/build my drum tracks them convert to audio tracks then process as if recorded a real live kit - It has a lot of advantages doing it that way - Slate guy myself the plugins are top notch - like what you did with the guitar tracks processing

If you haven’t already, I’d recommend trying out some form of clipper for the drums and master bus. Venn Audio has a free one that’s very versatile with insane oversampling options. It can make perceived loudness more intense and clean (when used properly) when compared to a standard limiter. It’s what I use to tame snare transients without losing their crispiness. Great stuff 👍 Edit: Baphometrix uses this “clip-to-zero” mixing strategy that’s very useful for pushing loudness. Definitely worth checking out his concept

Exactly personal taste, you would boost the 800 like I could play that less mark on 500 hz. And, by the way, what we are talking here, the very high quality NOFX video, shirt not included? Or maybe the F11 of average studio photography? But would you print five albums or more without a reference rehearsal?! What I've bought a light meter for, to perform more grungy?! I don't know. Namastè.

@@xanderraymondcharles im not trying to downsize you, im just saying that mixing is tougher without midi instruments. But tools, tips like these you give certainly helps getting your and my sound better. My friends complement me how i make so good sounding tracks, but in back of my mind i know i havent done that much, its just speaker sims/IRs and midi instruments, no real room mics, close mics with those unwanted freqs and other odd whistles and pings.

@@Durkhead literally not a thing in the least. A good mix is a good mix. My favorite mixers do not think about low end like this at all, it’s a weird thought process. Frequencies are constantly “overlapping” throughout a mix. Absolutely zero reason to high pass this high for this mix.
