wow that was the most detailed deconstruction and use case of plugins of the last 30 years in one go hands down, the best thing is you are not afraid of using plugins outside of their intended purpose or in other words dont care of audio engineering out dated dogmas ,i am already a plg alliance fan but this made me fall in love with the even more .wish u ton of success!

Can you guys do a female vocal tutorial for a more stripped down song like just piano and vocals? I don’t see a lot of that on KZbin.

Nice one just having difficulty using Ableton. And I noticed you not using headphones but Is recommended. the mouth clips And the breath should be controlled too i don't not much though❤️ And can you do a video recording vocal from scratch side chain and others please?
@SudacaBeatz9 ай бұрын
I would like to listen to the main vocal in solo and then activate all the other channels and sends one by one just to hear what each one is adding. I really like your chain. I also use a lot of plugins in my vox chains. I will check out for novaltech vocal enhancing. Give a second chance to that plugin. I recommend you the SPL IRON compressor for pop music. Its incredible smooth a colourful. With the AIR knob you can add sprinkle to some vocals but gotta use it before EQ the vocal because it can ruin your previous equalization 😅

You have too many mouth click sounds in your vocal track❤
@matt_nyc_audioengineer9 ай бұрын
I'm sorry but this is not a finished vocal! It sounds good for what it is but the editing stage was completely passed over! The mouth clicks, breaths, and other "artifacts" are still there. Those things need to be delt with for a "professional" sound ESPECIALLY with pop.
@Esthy9 ай бұрын
Hey Matt, thanks for sharing your thoughts! I was mainly diving into mixing with the PA plugins in this tutorial, but I hear you on the vocal editing front. I'll definitely give it more attention in future videos. Your input means a lot and thanks for taking the time to let me know! 🙏

@matt_nyc_audioengineer exactly where does it say that this is a vocal production/editing tutorial... ? 🤦♀it says mixing.. I listened to the track on her spotify and it doesn't have any of the issues you mentioned. way to jump to conclusions and drag someone down
@matt_nyc_audioengineer9 ай бұрын
What?! 😂 First of all, my comment wasn't to "drag anybody down". I already had considered this was a mixing tutorial but part of mixing is editing. Most of the people who would be interested in this are new to engineering and should be taught properly. The title says "How to mix pop vocals, from start to finish". You start by editing the vocals or at the min take care of those kinds of issues while mixing. No "jumping to conclusions here"! Secondly, I said I thought it sounded good. The creator even replied and obviously wasn't bothered by what I said. If she was, I apologize. My criticism was for Plugin Alliance, not her. She doesn't need you to speak for her tho, especially when you took my comment completely out of context, because she had already replied. You focused on the parts YOU didn't like. It really wasn't even your business. I stand by what I said because it's the truth. If you are going to "teach" people how to mix, teach them correctly. The title implies the video will show you how to mix pop vocals. That's a tutorial. Just the fact that you think "vocal production/editing" is separate from mixing tells me ALL I need to know. Now, have a nice day! I won't be responding again. @y96
@matt_nyc_audioengineer9 ай бұрын
Yes, I understand and you did a good job! My comment was more geared to Plugin Alliance being it was their channel. A huge part of mixing pop vocals is the editing, I'm sure you would agree. If you were disrespected in ANY WAY, I apologize. I certainly didn't mean it that way. I mix professionally so I just feel it's important to tech people the proper way. By leaving out the editing it may lead people to belive it's not important when in reality it's extremely important, especially with pop. 🙂@@Esthy

@@matt_nyc_audioengineer ohh there's no need! your comment was completely valid and I wasn't offended in any way 🤗I'm glad you watched the video and left feedback!
