Ayo I feel dumb for not considering compression and EQ after using really wet effects on my vocal track, I usually end my vocal effects rack with the wetter effects, but it makes so much sense to round everything off and give that one last polish that brings cohesion to the whole rack. Always worth a watch for those gems, even if one is familiar with all the other steps.

Great video - can I ask though, many people say about doing reductive eqing first and then comp followed by additive eqing. In the is video you did both on the first eq - so which way would be best or are both just as good as the other? Cheers!

Are any of these on sends or do you just use dry/wet percentage on the channel? Or do you use the audio effect rack at all to blend dry/wet? Just curious.

Why would you use the internal hipass on the gate? That just means the gate won’t respond to low frequencies like hum. Don’t you want it to?

I feel like none of this is "mixing" but rather tweaking/embellishing vocals. You need at least 2 elements of anything in order to "mix" something, right? But... Great, easy to follow and understand video nonetheless
@boseyhad2doit2em2 жыл бұрын
please play music next time. who knows what actually mix sounded like. numbers are nice for detail but yeah. question what the beat even sounded like hahah appreciate your videos however !
