How to Mod a NES for HDMI 1080p Output : BUILDING WITH POWER

Gaming with a #NES Classic or Retron HD on a modern TV might do the trick, but if you want to benefit from zero lag input with big shiny pixels, modding an original Nintendo Entertainment System for #HDMI is the way to go!

I'm finally installing my Hi-Def NES (glad I got one when I did) with my NESessity and new components so I've been brushing up on all the install videos I've come across to make absolutely sure I don't miss anything. Glad I don't have to bother with the old 7805 when using the Hi-Def NES. Just another source of heat I'd rather not worry about. I also chuckle at how effective Punch-Out! is for a benchmark of controller & input lag with these different systems and mods. Seeing it done in an older video is what sold me on the Hi-Def NES.

They don't make them anymore unfortunately, and running non PAL games on a PAL system will make them run too slow, but disabling the lockout chip should allow you to do it.

What makes you say that? Any solid evidence that the redesign to use easier to get parts is actually not going to happen? Either way, you can still easily get NES RGB mod by tim worthington. Install that, and a multi out and you have a plethora of options (some worse than others) including the seemingly harder to get (these days) Rad 2X cables that work with any nintendo system featuring the multi out which has an RGB signal.

I prefer the original 1985 nintendo entertainment system I saved 9 of those original 1985 nintendo entertainment systems I cleaned the motherboard clean and boil the 72 pin connector and clean the contacts on the motherboard where the 72 pin connector plugs in and the controller ports

you could have, if you were willing to pay out the nose and if you had acted while the scene was still happening. mod services did exist. you can still pay through the nose for a modded NES on ebay, if you're lucky enough.

If only they had some, I don't know, native analog video display device designed to take in analog video signals and perfectly outputting the video with absolutely no lag. And all while taking up the same space as typical 16:9 32" led pc monitor. Oh well, I mean I guess it is just a day dream..... Get a crt people. Do rgb mods if you want to mod a nes. If you don't have room for a crt in your living space, reevaluate your life and stop messing around with any gaming until you're not homeless living in a fridge box anymore.

My comment was directed clearly and obvosly at the statements made here that "crts are inconvenient and too cumbersome to own" and the implications that these will provide a superior or equally good picture quality. It's far cheaper, takes up no more space than a modern tv or monitor would, and would provide the superior picture quality if you would just use a crt . I have no problems with anyone using whatever they want to play retro games, but I do have an issue with someone making it sound like these mods and hdtvs are superior in any way to using crts. Not a fan of lying or spreading misinformation.3
