Hi everyone, had a few comments regarding this so would like to just emphasise. Always run FSE4 as admin and (if you're struggling with pip boy) use right hand to touch it. That's how it works.

I've got 3 modding videos for Fo4 now. Mantella is by far the most impressive tech but my wabbajack overhaul makes the largest impact on the game. It looks amazing with the mod list.

I've played this on my 4790 with a 1060 6gb last year and finally reinstalling it now with my newish 5600x and a 3070 TI. At least it runs the majority of mods from the non-VR Fallout 4! Some of them become even better in VR just because you can actually experience them whilst fully immersed Actually on that note. Might be worth highlighting that some Mods require all the DLC from the non-VR game which the VR one doesn't have without copying files over from it

Thank you for the great guide, it's the most straightforward one I have seen so far! One question though: I realized you didn't install normal fallout and move the DLC into the VR. Hi there, so this is a great trick and it does work it's just not mandatory for this video. If you check my latest Fo4VR guide it shows you how to as the modpack we are installing in that guide requires all 32 DLC files. Yes you can just copy them over. Hi there, other video being the Mantella mod? Yes they all work together. Please be aware Bethesda are releasing a large update today which may break everything, irs not expected to affect VR too much but we aren't sure yet. Flat screen fir sure. So consider locking your steam updates

@@DeadPixelGaming so i have couple issues maybe you could answer. I was able to run the game with frik but then after i install the mad dog overhaul the game crashes upon launch. Same way, i unistalled frik mods and was able to run the game with mad dog mods fine. i noticed when you ran the game in the previous video you ran it off the f4sevr loader and on this video you run it from mod organsier. Launching off either crashes everytime (i am out of the vault), any suggestions?

Good luck amigo! I have a bunch of skyrim modding guides. The Mantella one is hard so maybe get used to modding first. This method will work for all DLC be it SkyrimVR or FO4. With SkyrimVR just select SE in Nexus.

Are you running from FSE4 launcher as admin? Also try launch steam vr first then the FSE4 launcher. What are your specs?

This has been the most strait forward guide. But when I click on the script extendor with everything in place and ready it says couldn’t find fallout4VR.exe. I noticed the script extendor was slightly updated since your video and I had already got past the Vault before starting your tutorial. I have the newest windows update as well.

This isn’t working for me, I didn’t have to change the deployment method since I didn’t get a notification saying so, so I just followed the steps but when I open steam vr then open using the shortcut it just is normal fallout vr. That or it’s just a white screen on my quest 3.

I got 7zip and downloaded the f4sevr ,its zipped as a icon on my computer,there is no option to 7zip it,only extract ,but it says not to use windows. Im assuming it should not be zipped?or...(im sry this is my 1st computer )

It's no problem, we all have a first time modding. If you watch the video you'll see I say do not unzip the file as Vortex will read it as it is. SkyUI and SKSEVR are to be dropped into the drop box in Vortex.

Sorry I just realised you're modding F4 not Skyrim. Either way it's the same, drop FSE4VR launcher into Vortex. Please be aware that any mod requiring the DLCs (there are a few of them) will require you to roll back your current version of flatscreen. I made a video on it.

Hey, you don't need Fallout 4 for this, this is for modding Fallout 4 VR. So you are fine. If you're following my Mantella or MGO/FUS guides you will need Fo4 particularly for the DLCs. If you get stuck just jump on my Discord and ping me I'll give you a hand.

That's very weird, that sounds to me like a tracking issue with your controllers. Have you tried resetting view? Are you using quest? If so use left options button and reset view

Hi there, I followed the steps. Had the same issue as someone below. Deleted and reinstalled the f4sevr. Created the shortcut and set to open as administrator. Now when I'm in Steam Vr and open the shortcut, it opens up with a message each time saying, "Do you want to allow this from an unknown publisher to make changes to your device?' I select yes. Fallout 4 Vr will then load. I can start the game, then 9/10 times it will then just crash after the loading screen. The 1 time it actually worked, my FRIK body was all warped so I looked like an alien. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, so I've seen this bug once before. When you were all warped you couldn't walk either right? Load an older save file.

Check your folder where your exe is and get the FSE4 from there. If it's not there delete and reinstall it making sure it's the correct one. If it is there always be sure to run as administrator.

Does it give you a notification when it crashes? Sometimes Bethesda saves get corrupted can you load an earlier save and the mods still work?

Delete f4sevr from Vortex and reinstall it by dropping it into Vortex. Make sure its the correct one (vr or non vr). Then check your game directory and the sksevr launcher should be there. *important* make sure its run as administrator.

You should be able to transfer your Fo4 flat screen save file to your VR Fo4s save folder I don't see why that wouldn't work. Test it.
