I love the dedication that this team puts in. Now I imagine these guys all bought the proton packs when the Haslab was active, so they spent... What was it? $400? Now if you want it from ebay you are gonna spend $1200+... Imagine paying all that money just to say, "This isn't quite good enough." It's real dedication.

FYI, I have the 2.5" Dayton Audio PC68-8 from Amazon and the STL for 2.5 doesn't have holes that line up wit hte speaker.

Awesome video! Does this speaker need an amp or works without one?

@@davidprater8402The model we have might come with one already in it? I'm not sure actually.

Okay, so my pack is still completely stock on the electronics side. I'm not that good at modifying electrical components, and I want to keep my pack stock for the most part. So, my question is, will the stock board in the pack, along with the batteries, be enough power to allow this speaker you've shown to work?
@Gregors855 ай бұрын
Theoretically, it should work fine without any other modifications. But I do highly recommend the keep alive mod.

What are these little solderless connectors called?
@Gregors858 ай бұрын
Lots of different names for them "Quick Disconnects." www.amazon.com/Disconnect-Connectors-Insulated-Electrical-Cold-Pressed/dp/B08DR85NX5

I don’t have or plan on soldering the wires is there any benefit de-soldering over snipping the wires from the speaker?
@Gregors852 ай бұрын
Enthusiast will say it's a better connection, but You can get things called "quick disconnects" that don't require you to solder.
@mallratz1822 ай бұрын
@@Gregors85 that’s the rout I was going to go, I just was unsure if when disconnecting the wires from the old speaker if it’s okay to just snip
@Gregors852 ай бұрын
You can snip it, just make sure you give yourself enough length, trim it as close as possible to the connection. Easy to take away than it is to add.

@@Gregors85 thanks for answering my questions man. Has someone in the Haslab group tell me I would short my pack doing it that way. So far so good though!

so, these speakers will work with the stock sound board and power of the haslab packs? Will it be compatible with a ninja tunes board if i upgrade that later?
@Gregors856 ай бұрын
No sure, but it shouldn't be an issue.

I got the 2.5” speaker, can I wire it up while still using the D cell batteries? I will be getting the talent cell pack eventually
@Gregors857 ай бұрын
Yes, I don't see that being a problem. The whole system is designed around 5volts
