I ended useing make it or break it's idea on his wand upgrade by adding a momentary toggle switch to the pack instead of adding it to the wands hose and then used the hazlab wand where they both work independently from each other for a switch me on effect.

I'm making these mods right now, brilliant idea using the magnets to locate the bolts for drilling the holes. Also thanks for the gun track model, I've been looking for one of those for a while.

So I just got mine. I was going to build a Q pack, but decided I liked the idea of the pack being lighter and “done” for Halloween. That being said, I plan to do quite a few mods including 3D printed parts upgrades, tubing upgrades, and lashing up a 3D printed wand to it with arduino based electronics in the pack to replace the basic stock stuff. Evenything I’m planning on doing will be reversible.

Thank you! I'm not set up to do stuff like that just yet BUT there is someone on Etsy who is producing these pieces from their own designs. I can't vouch for them but they look great! Here's the link: www.etsy.com/listing/1473234125/life-size-spirit-proton-pack-2023-mods3d Happy busting!

Thanks for sharing this! I plan on eventually adding an alice frame to my full size Sprit Pack, so I appreciate having detailed visual instructions. I'm also happy you've shared the Gun Track. I may print that sooner rather than later. Would you have any recommendations on how to add a metal "s" hook to it?
@MADEbyAP7 ай бұрын
Hey there! Glad you found this helpful! I haven’t solved the s hook conundrum yet. I think it could be as simple as screwing it on with a bolt and not. Also one thing for the hub track. The hot glue works for display purposes but on our first outting it ended up popping off. So you may want to actually screw the track on. I don’t believe there’s a lot of electronics in the wand itself so you should be okay. Or use something stronger than hot glue like epoxy if you’re okay with a more permanent solution. Hope that helps!

Great video, appreciate the step-by-step process. Weird youTube decided to show this to me 4 months after you posted it. I'm on the road to doing most of these upgrades to my Spirit pack, especially need to add the Alice Frame. Will also do some cosmetics, and swap wand for Spengler wand like Make it or Break it had done in his videos. Would you be able to post the nut / screw / washers you used to secure the Alice Frame? No problem if it's way to late since I am sure you handed this pack off to your friend. Thanks!

Thank you! And sorry for the delay in getting back to you. It was a combination of these (amzn.to/4d5eJT2) and some washers and nuts I had in the shop. I hope that helps!

The one thing I'd recommend doing above all else that you haven't done is replace the stock ribbon cable. Even weathered it just SCREAMS "I am a toy" The GB2 spectra strip cable can be had pretty cheaply. The GB1/Afterlife/Frozen Empire ribbon is a custom job and people do make them but they're pricer. But it's such a huge detail that makes all the difference, that is easy to swap out. Or add a 3d printed speaker hole cover.
@MADEbyAP7 ай бұрын
Nice reco! Will look into that. The ribbon is super bright and plasticy for sure. Thanks!
@Doctors_TARDIS7 ай бұрын
@@MADEbyAP It really stands out and draws your eye too because it's one of the few points of color on the pack. GBFans has the GB2 spectra-strip in stock for $15 right now. There's a few people who sell it on etsy but they charge more. It was still being made as of a few years ago, but I think it is now out of production. No one's every really identified the GB1 cable, It very well may have been custom made for the movie. Or from something obscure. Either way ones on Etsy range from 50 to 80 dollars when they are available because they have to be made by hand. The one thing I REALLY wish hasbro would have done with the haslab packs is get the ribbon cable right. Mainly because it's the one part on the entire pack that's hard to find a suitable replacement for.

So the one thing I have to ask, is essentially could you use zip ties to attach an Alice frame? Reason I asked this is because I use hasbro pack. But my partner usually uses one of my 80% spirit packs and there were a little grooves in there. I was able to zip tie to it to an Alice frame. So are there grooves where I would be able to do that with this, from the view of the back of the, I would say you technically could
@MADEbyAP6 ай бұрын
Hi! I don’t have the pack anymore since it was for a friend so I’m answering based off memory. You technically could do that because the pack is super super light. The only concern I would have is the mother board is a really flimsy board so depending on how much abuse it gets the zip ties may actually break through. Again that’s just going off memory. I feel like I’ve seen people use zip ties for these in the past I just can’t find any sources at the moment. Sorry I can’t be more helpful here!
