Hello everybody , I would like to share my personal experience of installing Project Eris on my PSX , the main problem was that my console didn't read USB flash , I have tried many and different brands , also capacities , but the one that worked perfectly is Micro SD card , also after installation when you need to switch your USB format from FAT 32 , instead of eXFat try NTFS , this format worked perfectly for me. I had to add some games for a convention I'm going to and forgot how to do so with Bleemsync just to find out that homebrew was discontinued. I'm really happy Project Eris is that simple to install and get games on here. I don't remember it being this easy before. I also used a very small usb micro sd card adaptor as the storage (we're talking so small, you almost can't tell it's an adapter). I figured it uses less power than any flash drive and won't stick out like a sore thumb. But the light on it is bright as hell! But anyway, Thanks for the video tutorials

Great guide, detailed and slow unlike some other guides. If anyone is reading this and having trouble with usb drives then I found that my 128gb usb drive that was recommended on the list but didn’t work as I think it was too much power for the memory card slot so I dug out an old 8gb Sandisk and it worked a treat then when you’ve got to the back up stage use an otg cable and your usb drive that wasn’t working originally and continue the process as shown in this video, the otg cable allows more power to the bigger usb drives then the memory card slot at the front of the ps classic.

Hey everyone! After successfully installing Project Eris, I was having severe system start up issues. Either the ps Classic would shut down moments after start up, or it would just completely bypass Eris and start up as if my usb thumb drive wasn’t even plugged in. It turns out that it was the power supply I was using, which makes total sense. I was initially using an old iPhone charger, but the moment I plugged the power into the USB outlets of my power strip, I haven’t had a single issue. Specifically, I have it plugged into a “2.4 WATT TOTAL” usb slot. Just thought I’d share if anyone else was having the same issue :)

FOR EVERYONE¬!! who cannot find good/working OTG cable. Just get powered USB hub and connect it directly to the port 2 and stick any memory stick into the hub. Since the memory stick will be powered by HUB it will not drain energy from port 2 hence work without any problem. Downsides? Still only one port free (fine for solo gamers), more cables, 2 chargers running: one powering your PSXC and another your hub - but it works :)

How do you add more games once you have reached the USB’s limit? I was adding games to it via the method you mentioned, but after a while when I was transferring the files over it said I had no more space on the drive to add the files. I was using a 32gb USB 2.0. I’ve only added maybe 30 games or so, and I know there are people who’ve added hundreds. Also with regards to games which have multiple discs, how do you change discs when the games are on seperate discs? What I mean by that is that you have a title that is two games but they each have their own dedicated disc. For example Final Fantasy Anthology is a collection which is two discs but has two games - Final Fantasy V on one, and Final Fantasy VI on the other. Same with Final Fantasy Chronicles which is Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy IV. Whenever I boot up the game it always selects just one. I bring up the menu to change the disc image...(and it sees that there’s more than one) but it never actually changes it.

25:33 You enabled: "Launch Games in RA from Stock UI". I also did but I unfortunately experienced some freezing and lagging issues for some games. Can you please instead help to install alternative psx cores (that show a better compatibility) in Retroarch and have those cores run by default in the carroussel ? Thank you.

Driving me crazy. I get to stage of project eris fully working on exfat, but as soon as I add any roms to flash drive, it then goes straight back to ps classic on boot. 😩

Dude, I don’t own a Playstation Classic, but I wanna play Silent Hill. Is it easy enough for me, a total noob when it comes to modding, to put just one game on my Classic? If so then I’ll buy one. Also, I own a laptop, so will this work or do I need a full blown PC?

It depends on laptop specs. Anything from 2 years ago to today will work

@@firstbornchronicler Your welcome. I have seen videos of crash bandicoot running well on a Chromebook so its a possibility. Only way to find out is honestly to just try it yourself

Not sure why mine isn't working, all goes well until the last step where it doesn't boot up project eris. I followed it step by step and tried with different compatible usbs but still get the same result. The only thing thats different is when getting the backup files the system doesn't reboot but it does give me the message of fat32 isn't compatible, copy the files and reformat. Any ideas?

Great video. Do you have a video on how to get 4 controllers working on Eris? I am trying to play bomber man party edition with 4 ps classic controllers but it doesnt seem to work.

If you want to rename your cue/bin files you have to open the cue file with notepad and change the name of the bin file listed in there to the new name of your bin file... You can do it but It's a pain your better of just picking a good name from the start and sticking to it.

What i want to know is what are the best settings for Autobleem/Retroarch. I have 4 Terabyte on my PS classic. And i have the entire PS1 library. But i did noticed that some games don't work properly or have fps drops. Others work perfect with no issues. I have the latest autobleem/retroarch. But im wondering if if ahould leave it with the stock settings or if there are stuff we can change to make more games playable.

What Is the benefit of this over bleemsync? And what would you use the network for?

Not having luck with this. Followed it step by step with same tech but the classic doesn’t recognise the USB

I used this guide to install project eris. It worked fine for the longest time. But today, I tried to play some ps1, but all games are running slow mo. My other snes, nes, gba games work great on emu station. But ps1 just doesn't run correctly. Any ideas? I play from the main carousel.

Updated from Auto-Bleem, only get error code 001:001, Tried 3 different USB drives, same error, so I decided to do a Clean install not upgrade, so Put Eris on a newly formatted USB, yes it did work, so why does upgrade not?

Hey Mr Mario, I do not know for you but sometimes L2, R2 from the gamepad stays "pushed" and "stuck" inside. They do not come back to their location after pressing. Do u also experience this ?
@MrZeroFaith2 жыл бұрын
So you only need 1 usb to install it and then can use the same usb to play the games from it right?

Dude this works perfectly. Thank you very much for your tutorial. Can you recommend something for better graphics and stuff?

I use RetroArch, I don't tweak anything further aside from using a scanlines overlay for a few titles.
