Learn how to develop models and materials efficiently, procedurally, and as flexibly as possible, all using built-in Blender functionality. Jump to first lesson [01:40]
This is the trailer and 1st lesson from our full course which you can find on CG Cookie ☃️. cgcookie.com/c...
☃️ From our first model to our final render, we will be applying several non-destructive techniques to provide you the ability to create several iterations of your snowman with ease.
☃️ A predominantly non-destructive workflow allows us to work faster, encouraging us to focus more on the fun stuff, rather than getting bogged down on the production of it.
☃️ We are free to make changes when needed without locking ourselves into a final decision before we are ready, enabling artists to have their cake and eat it too!

If Elsa uses a non-destructive workflow she can avoid killing Anna by simply changing the particle settings or the particle's base mesh

Question. I'm about to start using blender and other animation studios such as toonboom or Retas. Was wondering what are some of the better options. I have a 1600-1800$ spending limit.

I found a way to mindblow the Blender shading node editor. A thing to know, any node named "Emission Viewer" will be deleted if you control-shift-click a node with Node wrangler, and get replaceed with an emission shader node with that name (node name, not label). In object mode, on a renderable (mesh, thickened curve, grease pencil etc), rename the material output to "Emission Viewer". If you control-shift-click a shader node, the output will be unhooked and deleted, leaving the object pink in rendered/material view. If you control-shift-click another node type you'll get an error message. Just control-shift-click any node again to get a fresh default output node and Node-wrangler-preview that node as usual.

@@Haroon_Hassan_Asghar That's a clever way of creating a bookmark! :D Don't worry, just don't name any node "emission viewer" and you'll be fine.

Does anyone know how to make models look like that? I mean the light edges, is it a material, an addon or what?
